Sana's POV:

I woke up around 7 AM and clenched my bedsheet. Then I realized I was alone in my bed and in my room.

I opened my eyes and checked my surroundings to find him, but he was nowhere to be found.

Did he already leave? This jerk!

I should've killed him when I had the chance. How could he just leave after what we did last night? I'll kill him someday!

Wait, why is his absence affecting me this much? And truly, I need him by my side right now!

(After what he did yesterday, you still want him to be with you, Sana?) my inner voice screamed.

But yes, after what he did last night- how he killed two men in front of me-I still need him by my side.

He kills people for living! He's a dangerous, cold-hearted person who doesn't have emotions, yet I want him by my side. I feel safe in his presence.

I feel like he's the only one who can save me from all my demons.

The letter, the recording, the murders in front of me! I'm pretty sure the masked man was behind it, but why?

Why does he want me to know about Aarav's real intentions? What is he trying to do? And why was he framing him? I have to find him and fight him!

I pull off my sheets and put on a light pink shirt. I decided to make myself some morning coffee.

As I was walking down the stairs, I heard some noise from the kitchen. Who's in there? My breathing got shallow, and I started taking slow, light steps so the intruder couldn't hear me.

I was on the last stair when a voice came: "Done hiding from me?"

I breathed a sigh of relief. He's here.

When I reached the kitchen, I saw a view I never expected-not in this life or the next seven lives. Oh god!

His back was to me, and he was cooking something. He was shirtless, wearing only black trousers, with his hair messed up.

The sweet smell entered my nostrils, and I inhaled. Oh my god, that's my favorite strawberry cheesecake!

I usually have it for breakfast after a hard, loaded night. But wait, how does he know about it?

(Wait, Sana, let me remind you, he was stalking you for the past few years) my inner voice said again.

But still, I'm not that active on social media, so how does he know about it?

"Done checking on me?" he asked, turning around with two plates of breakfast in his hands.

"Um, I... I wasn't checking on you or anything," I replied, looking everywhere but at him.

"Sure you weren't," he replied, gesturing towards the dining table and making me sit down.

Then he started serving me my breakfast. Oh, so he's back to his cold era? Jerk!

I decided to focus on my breakfast and ignore him.

Mhmm, my coffee, strawberry cheesecake, Greek yogurt parfait with fresh berries and a sprinkle of granola.

I tasted it and moaned in response. This is so yummy! I focused on finishing my breakfast, ignoring his continuous stares.

I haven't had such a sweet breakfast since my mom was hospitalized!

God, he's the definition of perfection.

"Who trained you so well in cooking?" I asked, still busy eating my yummy cake.
