Aarav's POV:
She's confused, shocked, and scared of me! I knew she didn't realize I was the boss here, but I didn't feel the need to tell her.
I was fully aware of her reaction. I was prepared for it, but I didn't expect the fear on her face and not gonna lie - Her fear fills me with a sense of pride, and I smirked.
"Myself Ishaan Agnihotri."
The moment I heard his name and voice, I turned to look at him, and I was shocked.
I knew he was back, but I never expected him to be here, with me, at the same stage, at the same position! My expression hardened.
The smirk on his face explained everything. And how badly I was controlling myself not to kill him right here, right now.
He turned towards me, and we made eye contact. It was a look that said-
"I'll destroy you."
With my hands in my pockets, he extended his hand for a handshake, still smirking. I couldn't lose my control here. I had to control my anger, so I did the same.
Before breaking eye contact, he whispered,
"Hello, brother!"
Yes, he's the son of Mr. Agnihotri and he was my only best friend.
Was.
The last time I saw him was eight years ago, and that night, I claimed his most precious target.
The night she became my only obsession, and I became her only predator. I made her mine, and today, he's back. I don't need to know the reason because I already do.
The thought of it made me look where he was looking. I followed his gaze, and it landed on her!
I will kill him very soon.
She turned her brown eyes towards me, away from that bastard.
Good for you, angel!
She knew our eyes were on her. I could sense the nervousness she was trying to hide by breaking eye contact and leaving the hall.
I followed her... at least I tried to!I checked every floor, but she was nowhere to be found... and she wasn't answering my calls.
I'm pretty sure she's put her phone on silent to have her own time, but I can't leave her alone right now, not with that bastard around.
I was about to leave the place to check outside when I heard something that caught my attention.
I heard the sound of something breaking, and I turned towards the room it came from. I tried to open the door, but it was locked from the inside. Now I was sure she was there. I heard another crash.
Without thinking, I fucking broke the door and stepped inside. She was standing there with blank brown eyes, not crying, but I knew something was wrong.
Something had broken inside her. She was standing amidst broken glass that could hurt her at any moment, and her hand was bleeding.
Fuck, angel! You shouldn't have hurt yourself.
I ran towards her and took her bleeding hand in mine.
"We need to get you cleaned up."
She still didn't say anything, but she didn't pull away either. I grabbed a cloth from a nearby table and wrapped it around her hand, applying pressure to stop the bleeding.
I gently touched her chin to make her look at me, but she quickly pulled away and started backing up.
"Is... is he the masked guy?" she asked, shaking, while continuing to move away.
