Author's POV:
Aarav woke up in the morning and went to the gym. When he came back, he took a bath and got ready. He didn't feel like having breakfast, so he decided to skip it.
The usually bustling corridors were deserted, the only sound the hollow echo of his footsteps against the polished floor. His guards stood stiffly at attention, their eyes devoid of their usual warmth.
"What's going on?" Aarav demanded, his voice echoing through the empty space.
The security guard, a stooped old man with haunted eyes, shuffled forward. "Everyone's on holiday, sir. You... you texted them."
A cold chill ran down Aarav's spine. He hadn't sent any such messages.
Something was terribly wrong.
As Aarav climbed the stairs to his floor, he caught a whiff of something burning, a scent that twisted his stomach into knots. When he entered his office, he was met with a horrifying sight - files consumed by flames, casting eerie shadows on the walls. His heart raced as he spotted a figure sitting in his chair, the seat rocking back and forth as if guided by unseen hands.
"Turn around" aarav said with anger in his cold tone..
Sana's eyes bore into his, their intensity sending a chill down his spine.
"What... what are you?" he managed to choke out, his words barely audible in the suffocating silence.
"You played with forces you don't understand," she whispered, her voice carrying an otherworldly weight. "And now, you're seeing the consequences."
Aarav's mind raced as he tried to make sense of her words. The memory of the statements he had stated to Sana the previous night flashed before his eyes..
"This... this is because of that?" he gasped, his voice barely audible.
Sana's lips curled into a sinister smile, sending a shiver down Aarav's spine.
"You thought it was just a harmless joke," she said, her voice dripping with malice. "But everything has a price, Aarav. And you'll pay yours."
With a calculated calmness, he reached out and grasped her throat, his touch sending a shiver down her spine.
"You," he began, his voice devoid of emotion, "are a puzzle I'm yet to solve."
Sana braced herself for the onslaught of his wrath, but instead, she was met with a chilling declaration.
Gorgeous," he muttered, his words cutting through the tension like a knife. "In your defiance, you are exquisite."
Sana's eyes widened in disbelief.
Aarav's grip tightened ever so slightly, his gaze piercing through her with an intensity that sent a shiver down her spine...
Aarav asked Sana, "Why do you hate me so much when Miss Naina always treated me like her own son?.."She was shocked listening to his question....
"Sana, listen up. If you keep going after my family without any reason, there will be serious consequences for you. But if they've done something wrong, I'll help you get back at them. It's up to you to decide what to do, but just know, every action has a consequence."
Sana was really surprised that Aarav knew who she was! She wondered how he found out. And why wasn't he doing anything against her, knowing she was after his family? Also, what about her mother treating him like her own son?
Suddenly, Aarav's touch made her feel nervous. He leaned in close, his breath on her neck, and said, "I don't get why you hate me, but you can trust me, Sana."
