Violet stood frozen as tears sprung into her eyes, her heart began hammering in her chest at the soothing voice of someone she had missed dearly. She slowly turned around, missing the concerned and weary looks from the Salvatore brothers and her breath hitched at the platinum-blonde hair of Luna Lovegood, standing beside Violet's cousin, Draco Malfoy.

"Lu, Draco" She sobbed and rushed towards them, right into Draco's waiting arms. They clung to one another, their arms holding each other tightly as the blonde Wizard tried to soothe his cousin's cries.

"Hush, little flower. I'm here" He cooed as he ran his fingers through her long hair and placed a kiss on her head. Luna soon joined the embrace, her flowery scent causing the tears to flow more frequently.

"I missed you"

"We missed you too - oh! Who are they?" Luna questioned as she noticed the brothers behind Violet. They pulled away from the embrace and Vi stepped back in line with the Salvatores, a bright smile on her face.

"Guys, I want you to meet Stefan and Damon Salvatore - they're vampires" She giggled at the shocked looks on the two blondes' faces, though the Salvatores were more surprised that Violet had revealed them so casually.

"Stef, Day, I want you to meet my cousin Draco Malfoy and my little sister in all but blood, Luna Lovegood" Draco shook their hands firmly, his grey eyes looking between the two so intensely that it made the Salvatore brothers a little uneasy.

Luna, seeing how uncomfortable the vampires were becoming, nudged Draco with a little warning glare, making him sigh with a sheepish smile. Suddenly, Stefan had the blonde witch's arms wrapped around his torso and though he was surprised by the affection given to him by a stranger, he couldn't help but chuckle had the height difference between himself and the little blonde. As she stepped away, she gave him a bright smile before embracing Damon, who stood frozen for a moment before awkwardly patting her back.

"She's a hugger," Violet said with a small laugh, completely amused by Luna's actions.

"Never would have guessed" Damon responded sarcastically as Luna stood back, eyeing the brothers with infectious joy.

"Where have you been, Vi?" Draco questioned, his arms folded over his chest as he raised an eyebrow at his cousin. It had been many years since he last saw his cousin, and though her disappearance made him angry at first due to a single letter explaining her departure, he could also understand why she had to get away. Their world had never been kind to Violet; many found reasons to blame the witch for things that had nothing to do with her. Due to her fame and power, people assumed she could have prevented or caused anything harmful that had happened since the war ended.

"I-" She let out a deep sigh as she ran her fingers through her hair. "I couldn't stay here, Dray. You know that" Draco's heart clenched at the pain and desperation in his cousin's eyes, pleading for him to understand.

"I know, little one, I know" He responded softly with a small smile.

"We all understand, Violet. Not to worry, no one is angry with you" Luna reassured with her usual bright smile that always seemed to make Violet feel better. "Come, let's get some blood pops for your vamps"

Violet let out a watery laugh, wiping away the tears that formed in her eyes before looking at Damon and Stefan, who looked completely confused by what Luna had said.

"Come on"

After sampling various flavours of blood pops, Violet ended up buying two bags full for the two vampires who insisted on paying her back when they returned home. However, Violet, being a stubborn witch, refused their offer. They had spent a few hours walking from store to store, showing the Salvatore brothers all that Diagon Alley has to offer. To Violet's surprise, Damon decided to buy a magical snake that, after some translating between them, managed to slither its way into the vampire's heart. Stefan, on the other hand, was more intrigued by the books with titles that caught his interest, including politics, potions, magical creatures, and, most surprisingly, dark curses and spells.

"Who's up for a firewhiskey?" Draco questioned with a smirk, looking between Violet and the vampire brothers. Violet rolled her eyes and playfully nudged her cousin before grabbing hold of Damon's hand and pulling him towards the Leaky Cauldron with Stefan following close behind with an amused smile.

The leaky cauldron was rather empty compared to normal but according to Luna, Hannah Abbot who was the new owner, had changed the interior so much that the regulars weren't too willing to go as often as they usually did. However, since refurbishing the ancient pub, more of the younger generation were eager to spend their time there and even those from other magical communities visited regularly.

"Merlin saggy balls! It's so much brighter than before" Stefan and Damon looked at Violet in complete astonishment, they've never heard such a phrase so casually spoken before.

"Yep, Abbot has done well" Draco commented as he gestured for the four to settle into a booth before going to the bar To get their drinks.

"Enjoying those aren't you?" Violet laughed As Damon popped a blood pop into his mouth. The vampire grinned with a nod, his blue eyes sparkling as he looked down at his best friend.

"What flavour is that one?" Stefan asked curiously.

"Hm... hippogriff" Violet's face scrunched up, imagining Damon drinking Buckbeak's blood.

"I much prefer Dragon" Violet mumbled in disgust, earning a chuckle from the brothers as Draco returned with five fire whiskeys levitating in front of him.

"Magic is so handy!"

By the time Violet, Damon and Stefan returned to Mystic Falls, they were exhausted and surprisingly intoxicated. Thankfully they were able to speak clearly enough to return to the boarding house, only to crash on the couches the moment they arrived.

The next day was spent watching movies lazily in the living room, snacks and blood pops divided between the three of them. Unfortunately, it's halfway through dirty dancing that a knock on the door is heard and Stefan, who lost Rock, paper, scissors had to be the one to open it. The moment the door was flung open, he groaned internally at the sight of the doppelganger whose eyes were filled with fear and betrayal.

"What are you?" He immediately concluded that she knew what he was, only asking the pointless question to confirm her belief.

"Huh?" He responded, deciding to act clueless in hopes that she would think she had gone crazy and flee.

"What. Are. You?" She hissed through clenched teeth, her hands balled up at her side.

"What do you want, Doppelbitch?" Violet called out as she and Damon approached the door, earning a glare from Elena who looked between the three in clear jealousy. She had no clue what a doppel was but had heard them referring to her as such on multiple occasions which not only frustrated her beyond belief but made her hate the woman even more.

"Are you like them? Are you a vampire?" Violet raised her eyebrow, looking between Elena and the Brothers as she tried to figure out how the doppelganger found out. Originally, she had put it all together after the car wash but that hasn't happened yet... which is what confused Violet the most.

"Have you lost your mind?" The immortal witch scoffed as she leaned back against Damon's chest, the raven-haired vampire instinctively wrapping his arms around her waist.

"I know what you all are! Disgusting beasts! You aren't natural" Stefan avoided eye contact, his head lowered as his deep insecurities and shame came rushing to the surface. Violet, noticing his behaviour placed her hand on his back, sending calming magic through his body that made his shoulders slump and his muscles untense as he let out a shaky sigh.

"Gilbert, I'd advise you to leave our premises before I call the sheriff" Damon demanded coldly, earning a shocked look from the brunette before she cooled her expression.

"I think you'll find that i'm friends with her daughter, she'll listen to whatever I say and believe it" She bragged, her nose in the air smugly as she smirked.

Violet, having enough of the doppelganger sends a stunning spell which hits her directly in the chest, causing her to fall back against the gravel. After Removing the memory of her turning up at the boarding house, she transports Elena back to her house where she'll wake up confused on her bed.

"Fucking annoying bitch"
