Reyla POV:

"Holy mother of Jupiter!" I say, stopping in my tracks. There's a huge, one-eyed cyclops standing in line for Bubble tea at Bubbly Dreams!

Dahlia slams her hand over my mouth. "Shut up!" she hisses. "It may not have seen us. Who has weapons?"

I raise my hand. "Scimitar bracelets," I say. "Still learning how to use them, though."

"Sword, or gladius, if you want to be all fancy," Aelia says.

"I have my pilum," Marina says.

"And I have my dagger." Ryan says.

"Good." Dahlia says. "Then I'm not sacrificing my Bubble Tea!"

"Agreed," Marina says. I shrug and go along with it.

"Ry, you want to come with me and get the money?" I ask. The Bubbly Dreams line is always super long, and our secret Denarii trader 'works' at the Ardene next door.

"Okay," Ryan says, and Marina, Aelia, and Dahlia save our places in line.

We walk over to Ardene, go to the dressing rooms, wait specifically for room 6, and lift the mirror of the wall to reveal a door. You have to be a demigod to open the door, but you also have to know the password. Ms. Sterling told it to us, of course, but she probably didn't tell Daphne Fairbourne.

We open the door and enter a money exchange office.

I push the intercom button beside the door. "Tri Squad here, looking for Marshal, Roman denarii to American USD." I say, then push the button again.

Ms. Sterling told us not only how to get into the demigod money exchange place, but what to do as well. She and her friends had a reputation as the Tri Squad, and she said she personally befriended Marshal, the best trader in the business, so instead of having to wait in long lines, we could just call Marshal, as long as we said exactly what we had and what we needed.

"How long do you think this is going to take?" Ryan asks, smiling. With Marshal, it's either a ten second wait or five hour wait.

"I hope not that long," I say, checking my phone. "Marina says they're halfway to the counter now."

Ryan laughs. "That's not good. We must've taken a really long time in that dressing room line. Popular day, next thing you know, they'll be banging down that door and scratching their heads like monkeys when they wonder where we've gone."

I laugh. "Gods, I wish I could see that," I say.

"How do you think the cyclops-in-the-bubble-tea-line is going for them?" Ryan asks.

"Oh, probably amazing. Aelia's probably peeing her pants already from fright," I laugh. Then I pull out my phone and check the group chat. Ryan hovers over my shoulder.
