"We're under attack!" Aragorn shouted. The villagers cried with fear and clung to their children. "Get them out of here!"

"All riders to the head of the column!" Theoden shouted.

Aragorn got onto his horse and told me to go with the others. Then he rode to the column with a few others riders.

Gimli slipped off his horse's saddle and I quickly got onto his horse instead. "What...witch! What are you doing?!" Gimli shouted at me.

"Hiyah!" I rode with the riders to the column.

There was barking in the distance. Barks of creatures created with dark magic. I unsheathed my sword and held it in the air as I ran in the group.

Orcs that rode dogs collided with our men on horses. I sliced the head off one orc and then the arm off another. Then I turned my horse around and quickly stabbed a dog hybrid and then sliced the Orc rider.

I went to slice off another head but the orc blocked my sword and laughed at me. The orc and I sword fought while the dog he rode barked and clawed at my horse. I desperately needed my sword to turn into fire.

As the orc and I sword fought, I focused on making my sword catch fire. I thought about all the other times I did it. I thought about the first time I ever did it. I was with Aragorn. He and I were sword fighting at Rivendell, he was teaching me all sorts of techniques. I got angry at him and wanted to throw a fireball at his sword but I ended up making my sword catch flame. He and I were bewildered at my ability.

My horse slowly stepped backward while the orc and I continued to sword fight. Until finally, my sword caught fire and the orcs sword melted at its touch. When the orc was distracted by his confusion, I sliced off his head.

I laughed with victory. "I did it!" I happily said. "I did it! I..." A dog jumped at me and pushed me off my horse and into the ground. My blade of fire went out and my horse ran the other way. Its gigantic paws stood on my arms and as it growled it drooled on my face. I screamed and kicked my feet. The dog's sharp teeth got closer to my face. His mouth was stained with blood and it reeked of death.

"Rowan!" Legolas drove a sword into the dog's back and its head fell right in my shoulder. I let out a grunt. Legolas pushed the dog off of me and then offered me his hand. "What are you doing here?!"

I swung my sword at an orc. "Magic or not, I am still supposed to lead armies!" I shouted back. The two of us slayed orcs and their dogs while we yelled to each other. "I might as well get my practice in," I panted.

As an orc rode past me, he grabbed me by my hood and dragged me alongside him. I stabbed my sword into the dog's back leg and it fell on the ground. The orc and I rolled down the hill and toppled on each other. The orc landed on top of me and pressed his blade to my throat. I grabbed the orcs wrist and tried to push him away.

"Rowan the Red" a voice echoed inside my head. "You cannot hide from Sauron anymore. He knows your magic. Surrender now, or bring bloodshed of the innocent people of Rohan and your loved ones."

I thought of Aragorn and Legolas and Gimli. I thought of Frodo, Sam, and Merry and Pippin. I thought of the people of Rohan being dragged into a war.
