Though the forest appeared to be dark, when I ventured in, everything lightened. I could feel the magic within the forest, it gave me warmth like a warm bath after a long chilly day.
My hand brushed against some tall grass as I walked and behind me, a beautiful rose bloomed. Gimli gasped and smelled the flower with excitement. "Amazing," he whispered. Gimli reached for the flower with intentions to pick up but Legolas slapped his hand on with his and knelt beside him.
"Do not disturb the nature here," Legolas lowly growled.
"These are strange tracks." Aragorn knelt to the ground and felt the grass and dirt below him.
"The air is so close in here," Gimli said.
"This forest is old," Legolas added, "very old."
I reached my hand up and touched a tree branch. The branch sprouted flowers and leaves. I didn't even mean to make things grow in the forest, it just happened.
Then I heard growling. It was very low pitched growling. I looked at the moving branches above us and concentrated on their movements. Then I heard voices.
"Disturbance. Lots of disturbance."
"Threats. Terrible dark threats."
These voices were low and muffled to my ears. They spoke with simplicity, very few words were used to make their points.
"What is it?" Aragorn asked me after he noticed how distracted I was.
"The trees are speaking to each other," I replied. Legolas looked around at the creaking branches.
"I can feel their emotions. Anger. Sadness," Legolas said.
"I don't feel anything," Gimli grumbled. "Elves and witches are just too dramatic sometimes."
"Something is out there! I can hear it!" Legolas swiftly moved further into the forest, Aragorn and Gimli all followed. Legolas had a very keen sense of hearing and good eye sight, like all elves. "Do you sense it?"
With my eyes closes, I listened to the trees some more. "The white wizard...he approaches." My eyelids flung open and a strange wind blew in the forest. I moved my snapped my head towards the others. "Aragorn!" I pointed my palm in their direction and a bright light shone, blinding them. I jumped towards them and flew balls of fire at the bright light but he swapped them away as if they were nothing. Aragorn unsheathed his sword but the wizard melted it in his hand.
"Rowan the Red!" His voice boomed. I could not see him because of the light that shined. "You seek two hobbits in this forest. Well you are too late, for they met someone they did not expect."
"Show yourself!" I screamed. The light went away and the man who stood in front of us was my father.
