29. Family

<Soap's POV>

I walked out to the waiting room.

142 sat on one side of the small room, and YN's parents sat on the other end.

Gaz was the first to spot me walking over and be tapped Laswell and Price.

Ghost also looked over and they stood up.

Her parents jumped to their feet and they all rushed to me.

"How is she!?"

"Where's my daughter!?"

"Did she make it!?"

"Is she okay?"

"Did the baby make it?"

"What happened?!"

I smiled.

"I'm a dad."

"Who says!? You don't get to run back in once you see she's pregnant!"

"I spoke with YN. I explained everything."

"Well then explain to us!"

I did so but her parents seemed unconvinced.

"If she was in danger once, who's to say it won't happen again?"

"Because I'm going to keep my family safe."

"You made that promise before. And you broke it." Her dad glared.

"Are you just gonna swoop in and drag her back to the UK?" Her mom looked worried.

"Not until she feels comfortable to do so. Until then, Captain. I'm going to need some time off."

"Of course. I'll give you three months." Price nodded and I smiled.

Her parents still seemed unsure.

"Dad, do you want to come back in? You can all also come meet the baby."

We all hurried after her and entered the room.

"Aww, my babies!" Her mom and dad pushed past me and hugged their daughter.

"Hi!" She smiled and they took a peek at their grandson.

"Have you held him?" Price asked.

"Not yet."

"You probably should."

We looked at YN who looked unsure but then held him out for me.

I walked over and slowly took him in my arms.

"Watch his head." YN's mom said.

I held him close to my body.

He was asleep and bundled up.

"Smile!" Gaz said and took a picture.

I smiled and Gaz took a few pictures of us.

A few seconds later, my phone rang.

"Can you get that?" I asked and Ghost answered it for me.

"It's your mom." He turned the screen to face me.

"Johnny? Whose baby is that?" She asked and my two sisters were with her.

"He's mine. Meet Jamie John MacTavish."

"You're lying! With who!?"

Ghost turned the phone to YN who smiled.

"YN, dearie? Is that you?"

"Hello." She smiled.

"I'm so confused! When did this happen?"

I explained everything to my mom and she started crying.

"I'm a grandmother!"

"Aye you are." I smiled.

"When can we meet him?"

"As soon as you guys get here." I said and Jamie started to fuss.

"Try rocking him." Her dad suggested.

I softly rocked him and he calmed down.

"Look, he's opening his eyes!" I gasped and I felt pride swell in my chest.

We passed him around and everyone took pictures.

I smiled at YN. She looked past exhausted.

"You just got kidnapped and gave birth. Get some sleep." I told her.

"I'm okay." She smiled.

"It's okay, sweetheart. You get some sleep. We'll take care of Jamie."

The moment she closed her eyes, she was passed out.
