["I JUST WANNA CAUSE A LITTLE ENTROPY!"]
<-------->
The sound of a pen clicking and frustrated groans could be heard. It was starting to get on a certain white-haired female.
"Sir?" She asked. Her arms crossed and a serious expression on her face.
"The fuck you want, bitch?" Her boss responded. A voice and attitude that could only belong to one person, and one person only. Adam.
Lute had to physically restrain herself from saying something that would result in her falling down to the very place she knew she wouldn't be welcomed.
She held her arms tightly as a counter. She sighed heavily. "Do you remember that demon that we had encountered during the meeting with the Morningstar?" She asked. Her eyes cold and serious as ever.
Adam nodded and shoved another barbecued rib into his mouth, "ya? What about 'em?" He was as uncaring as ever. "What'cha thinkin', danger tits?"
"We should go to them first." Lute suggested. "During the extermination."
Adam titled his head and looked over to her, actually giving her the time of day, for once. He couldn't help the wide grin that took over his face as that happened.
"I like your thinkin', babe. But why?" Adam asked, not getting the full picture unlike Lute.
"Think about it, sir. They've most likely taken a third of our army alone every time we go down there. And with the new extermination date being pushed earlier...do you think it's wise to go earlier and earlier every time, knowing that demon has found a way to overthrow us and consume us?" Lute asked.
Adam's eyes narrowed, understanding now. "Are ya worried about it?" He questioned.
Lute froze.
"Hey, if it eases your mind, we'll take them back here and let Sera deal with it." Adam relaxed in his chair and put his hands behind his head, relaxing. He looked and felt extremely comfortable.
"But what if-" Adam quickly shut her down, "Relaaax! What could possibly happen? Demons can't be redeemed, and I guarantee that the Moringstars would care if we took them. We could just say we needed them for...questioning."
Lute still couldn't shake the feeling from her. She sighed and nodded. She was just following orders after all. It's not like she could go against him.
That could risk her being damned for all eternity.

"Salutations, my dear!" You stalked your way over a certain long-white-haired female. A bright (possibly) fake smile on your face.
"Don't even-...I'm way too stressed to deal with anyone else's bullshit today." She held her temple and attempted to walk away. But you quickly snuffed this idea. You put your gloved and cartoon shaped hand on her shoulder.
"Dearest, how about I help you unwind?" You smiled at her charmingly and took your hand off of her shoulder, and held it out for her to take.
She raised an eyebrow, "what do you mean?"
You chuckled quietly. "You look like you could use a drink."
She smiled a little and nodded, "I'm glad someone could tell, and...yeah. I'll take you up on your offer."
And so with that, you took her and yourself to the bar, served her and yourself a drink, before sitting on the couches the hotel lobby had to offer.
"Yknow...I had always thought that you Overlords were vindictive, and just plain bad." You could tell Vaggie was getting a little tipsy. You had guessed that she didn't hold he alcohol down very well. And it was certainly evident to you, and probably everyone else around as well.
"Darling, we are."
"You're different." She countered.
You felt slightly flattered. As the saying goes, a drunk man's words is a sober man's thoughts. Did Vaggie really think that you were different, capable of redemption?
Your cold heart warmed up just even a little that moment.
"Wha...?" She asked. She was now tipsy. Tipsy as one could ever be.
You snapped back to reality and gently put your hand on the one that was holding the glass of wine.
"I think that's enough for you," you chuckled. You couldn't help but find her when she's drunk an absolutely funny creature.
Vaggie pouted, but was too drunk to protest and went silent.
It stayed silent like that for a while.
"Why do you help us?" She asked.
"Entertainment. Simple as that, my dear." You chuckled and lit a cigarette.
Vaggie paused and looked over to you. "No...that's not it. I want the truth, why? Why do you continually choose to do this? And don't blame Alastor. As judged on your character, you're not the type to just follow crowds. You're choosing to stay here, why?"
Your breath hitched. She had a point, though Alastor and entertainment was a main factor dictating your stay...but why were you originally staying here to begin with?
So with a sigh, you replied, "Everyone here is kind, and that's not something that you come across often here, as I'm sure everyone in this blasted place is aware."
"You stay here because we're kind?" She asked, drunkenly.
"That's part of the truth, yes."
She smiled, "that's what we do here, then. I'm glad we could make your stay much more memorable."
"Vaggie..." You started, the words were stuck in your throat. You wanted to ask her something, ask her something very important.
She perked up and nodded, giving you the okay to continue.
"Would it be weak to admit that I'm scared?" You asked and crossed your arms. You never liked being open with anyone, much less friends. You were never this open with Rosie.
"No, not at all. What are you scared of?" She questioned. A gentle tone of voice replacing her usual cold, and assertive one.
"The future, and whatever it has in store."
"Everyone's nervous about that. Look, whatever happens, happens. But we'll always be here for whatever happens. Nothing can change that fact. I can promise you that." Vaggie reassured.
"Thank you, kindly, Vaggie," you smiled.
Vaggie lightly chuckled. "No problem, Y/n. Just remember, it doesn't matter, nothing matters but you. It's my duty to protect you." She smiled, and you smiled back. But this time, your smile was genuine.
"Heh, thanks. But I think you're gonna need my protection."
"Probably, heh..."
