Memories In Retrograde

The rivalry between Bakugo and Midoriya was Interesting because we never knew why they were so competitive against each other since they were friends since childhood. When Bakugo and Midoriya were training, villains attacked! 10 minutes could feel like a whole week as they fought those villains.

"Kacchan! We gotta get out of here! There's too many of them!" "For all I know I could kill all of these extras!" "Kacchan! You can't underestimate their strength!" "Whatever Damn Deku! Just fight!" ^Midoriya Faints^ Bakugo tried to run but gets hit with a knife in his leg. "I only came for Izu-Kun's blood,but you're kinda hot too. Izu-kun's still cuter" Toga said smiling.

This accident leaves them both with amnesia, the entire school is shocked. Bakugo nor Midoriya remembers their past, quirks, or most importantly, their rivalry towards each other. Thrown together in recovery girls office.

"Where am I.... Who are you.... Why is this blonde haired guy holding me...." Izuku says,"Hi, I am recovery girl and you are UA. Can you tell me your name?" I don't.. remember.. how do I not remember my own name..." Izuku said softly. "I think you were hit with a quirk". "What's a quirk?" Izuku asked. "Oh dear...." Recovery girl said. *She explains what quirks are what his name is, and why he doesn't remember anything*

"Fuck... where the hell am I.." Bakugo said. "Hey sir.... Can I ask you something" Said Izuku. "Sure I guess.." Bakugo said softly.. "Can you let go of me?". "Oh fuck,sorry! I didn't realize." "It's fine! It's just my arm was about to fall asleep". Recovery girl stood there in shock. "Bakugo apologized?" She thought. "After explaining everything she did to Midoriya"

"So can I call you Bakugo?" Izuku asked. "Nah. It sounds weird when you say it." "So I'll just call you Katsuki?" "Yeah sure. By the way what's your name?" "Izuku Midoriya. At least that's what she told me." "I'll call you Izuku" "Ok Katsuki!"

The thing is their initial interactions are awkward. But they still had the same personality as they always did.Bakugo, still explosive by personality, clashes with the sweet and polite Midoriya. Yet, a strange sense of familiarity brings them together.

They find themselves drawn to each other's personalities. As they go through this world, their classmates try to find old their memories. Uraraka shows them old photos, Kirishima recounts past battles, and Iida reminds them of their academic rivalry. But none of it sparks a single memory.

Meanwhile, their bond deepens. Midoriya finds himself admiring Bakugo's determination to win, while Bakugo is surprised by Midoriya's kindness. They begin sneaking out of the dorms at night, drawn to the city lights and the feeling it brings.

One starlit evening, they find themselves at the park where they first met as children. As they watch a fireworks display, a flicker of recognition sparks in Bakugo's eyes. He doesn't remember the fight, but a strange sense of belonging washes over him. "Hey Izuku don't you think this place is kinda familiar". "Yeah I thought I only thought that"

They both have a flashback of their childhood together. "Hey Katsuki did you see it too?" "If you're talking about the flashback then yeah". "Izuku do you trust me at least a little bit". "Seeing our childhood together. Yes I do".

He leans in, kissing a Midoriya.The kiss unlocks a whole lot of memories for Bakugo and Midoriya. Images of their childhood, them U.A. training, and their bitter rivalry flood back. Panic surges through them. How could they have fallen for Eachother?
