The stolen kiss lingers in the sterile air of the recovery room, a silent promise hanging between them. As the initial shock subsides, a wave of nervous excitement washes over Midoriya. He's never considered Bakugo in a romantic light, but the amnesia, their shared experiences, and the undeniable spark they share have rewritten the narrative.
Bakugo, his cheeks still flushed, seems uncharacteristically flustered. He clears his throat, trying to regain his usual gruff demeanor.

"Don't get all sappy on me, Deku," he mutters, though the warmth in his eyes betrays his attempt at bravado.
Midoriya can't help but chuckle. "I wouldn't dream of it, Kacchan." The comfortable silence returns, filled with a new layer of unspoken emotions. They both know this is uncharted territory, a relationship built on the foundation of a forgotten past and a present filled with both trepidation and excitement.

Days turn into weeks as Midoriya and Bakugo navigate their newfound feelings. Stolen glances during lessons, shy smiles exchanged during training, and lingering touches during sparring sessions become their new language. Their bond deepens, fueled by unspoken promises and a shared sense of vulnerability. However, the whispers and rumors around U.A. High intensify. Their classmates, fueled by Mina's ever-vigilant "support squad," dissect their every interaction.

The pressure to publicly define their relationship weighs heavily on them, especially Bakugo, who thrives on secrecy and competition. One afternoon, during a free period, they find themselves alone on the rooftop, the place where it all began. The setting sun paints the city in hues of orange and pink, creating a backdrop for their heart-to-heart conversation.

"We can't keep hiding forever, Kacchan," Midoriya admits, his voice laced with a hint of frustration. Bakugo scoffs, kicking a loose pebble across the rooftop. "What do you want me to do, Deku? Announce it to the world like some award ceremony?"
Midoriya shrugs. "Not like that, but... maybe we could ease into it. Maybe a simple date?"

The word "date" hangs in the air, heavier than expected. Bakugo's face flushes a deep crimson. The very idea seems foreign to him, a stark contrast to his usual boisterous personality."A date?" he repeats, his voice barely a whisper.
Seeing Bakugo's discomfort, Midoriya scrambles to rephrase his suggestion. "Or maybe we could just hang out together, outside of training? Just you and me."
Bakugo considers this for a moment, a flicker of curiosity sparking in his eyes.

The idea of spending time with Midoriya outside of the hero training environment holds a strange appeal."Fine," he finally concedes, a barely audible "tch" escaping his lips. "But don't expect me to hold your hand and skip down the street, Deku."
Midoriya bursts into laughter, the sound echoing across the rooftop. The tension dissipates, replaced by a comfortable banter that marks a new chapter in their connection.

Their first "non-date" is an awkward yet endearing affair. They stumble through a visit to a local arcade, Bakugo's competitive spirit reigniting as they battle each other on racing games. Their shared laughter as Midoriya manages to pull off a last-minute victory lingers long after they leave the arcade.

The stolen moments outside of U.A. High become their sanctuary. They walk to the park after classes, sharing whispered secrets under the shade of a familiar tree. They explore the bustling night markets, Bakugo grumbling about the crowds but secretly enjoying the festive atmosphere with Midoriya by his side.

As their relationship progresses, so does their understanding of each other. Midoriya sheds light on Bakugo's insecurities and vulnerabilities, the reasons behind his explosive temper. Bakugo, in turn, sees the unwavering determination and kindness that lie at the heart of Midoriya's heroism.
One evening, as they sit on the rooftop watching the stars, Bakugo breaks the comfortable silence.

"Hey, Deku," he starts hesitantly, "do you ever think...maybe those memories... maybe they'll come back?" Midoriya ponders this for a moment. The lost memories cast a long shadow over their relationship. While they've built something new and exciting, a part of them still longs for the missing pieces of their past.
"Maybe," he finally answers, "but even if they don't... we have this now."

He reaches out and takes Bakugo's hand, his fingers intertwining with Bakugo's. Bakugo allows his hand to be held, a silent acceptance of the new path they've chosen.
