The sterile training room buzzed with the whirring of Recovery Girl's latest invention – a headband designed to amplify and regulate their emotional connection. Izuku strapped it on, a knot of nervous anticipation twisting in his gut. Across from him, Bakugou mirrored the action, his usual scowl etched deeper than usual.
Recovery Girl adjusted the dials, her brow furrowed in concentration. "Alright, let's test it out at a low setting. Just a simple jab, nothing fancy." With a deep breath, Izuku lunged. He connected with Bakugou's shoulder, expecting a surge of shared information. Instead, a raw wave of emotions crashed into him – fear, self-doubt, a torrent of negativity that instantly triggered his fight-or-flight response.Across from him, Bakugou doubled over, a strangled cry escaping his mouth. Izuku saw a flicker of insecurity, a vulnerability he'd never witnessed before, pierce through his rival's fiery facade. Panic surged through him. He'd seen this kind of overwhelming emotion before – in Dr. Akari's manipulation.nSuddenly, the room pulsed with a dark energy. A swirling vortex of shadows materialized, solidifying into the imposing figure of All For One. Recovery Girl shrieked, her equipment sparking and sputtering.
"Impressive," All For One rasped, his voice dripping with malice. "Your connection is indeed a curious phenomenon."
Izuku and Bakugou, bewildered and disoriented, braced themselves for an attack. However, All For One's next words were unexpected. "You see," he continued, his gaze flickering between them, "this connection... it's a threat. A safeguard against my power." He revealed Dr. Akari's research, funded in secret by him, and the hidden countermeasure within One For All that disrupted her experiment."Now," he stretched out a hand, a twisted smile playing on his lips, "we have a common enemy. Cooperate with me, let me disable this... connection, and I'll ensure the League stays out of your way."
A tense silence filled the room. The idea of trusting a villain, especially the mastermind behind so much suffering, was abhorrent. Yet, the raw emotions they'd just experienced, the way their vulnerabilities were laid bare, terrified them. Was their connection a weapon waiting to be used?Izuku's gaze met Bakugou's. He saw the same turmoil reflected in his "rival's"crimson eyes, a mix of fear and a strange protectiveness. It dawned on Izuku – the connection wasn't just about power; it was a bridge, a way to understand each other on a deeper level. He wouldn't let All For One destroy that. A newfound resolve hardened Izuku's voice. "We won't disable it," he declared, his voice ringing with newfound determination. "We'll learn to control it. Together."
A flicker of surprise crossed All For One's face. Before he could respond, Bakugou stepped forward, his voice rough with emotion. "Yeah," he growled, a faint blush creeping up his neck, "we got this, Deku. You and me. No villains needed." The air crackled with unspoken defiance, a bond forged not just in battle, but in the crucible of shared vulnerability. All For One, his plan foiled, vanished in a swirl of shadows, leaving them to face the future together.
Recovery Girl, shaken but unharmed, deactivated the malfunctioning equipment. "Well," she sighed, "that escalated quickly. But if you two are determined to keep this... connection, I suppose I can help you learn to use it safely." As they left the training room, the setting sun cast a warm glow on their faces.
A new chapter had begun. Their journey to master their connection would be arduous, fraught with challenges. But they would face them together, a bond strengthened by trust, a growing understanding, and perhaps, even a spark of something more.
Authors note:
OK, but this is actually really fun making these authors notes. But seriously, I really don't like when I see people hating on ships, any ship, unless it's illegal. Like, I don't wanna let anyone ruin my comfort ship because they're still stuck in season 1. In the story I'm trying to show how they could change overtime. Because it's not like everything in the past goes away. It still happened but that doesn't define them. I'm trying to show how their relationship can grow overtime. Of course this isn't canon but it would be nice if it was.
