The aftermath of the League of Villains' attack hung heavy in the air. Izuku nursed a throbbing headache, a side effect of the emotional overload during the battle. Across the room, Bakugou sat ramrod straight, a scowl etched on his face, but his crimson eyes flickered with a hidden turmoil Izuku recognized all too well.
Aizawa, ever the stern teacher, stood before them, his lone eye narrowed. "The League's new villain, Disruptor, threw a wrench into your teamwork," he stated plainly. "Their quirk, Emotional Static, nearly cost you the fight."Izuku winced. The battle had been a chaotic mess. Bakugou's frustration amplified by tenfold had crippled their usual coordinated attacks. Izuku, overwhelmed by Bakugou's negativity, felt his own resolve wavering. Only through sheer determination and a desperate focus on protecting civilians did they manage to apprehend Disruptor. "The good news," Aizawa continued, "is that their quirk only affected a limited area. Recovery Girl is already treating the affected civilians. However, this incident exposed a critical vulnerability in your newfound connection."
Izuku and Bakugou exchanged a tense glance. Neither relished the idea of admitting their struggles. However, the memory of their almost disastrous performance was too fresh to ignore.
With a defeated sigh, Izuku spoke. "We were... overwhelmed. Sharing emotions is a double-edged sword. Kacchan's frustration..." "And your self-doubt," Bakugou growled, completing his sentence. A flicker of embarrassment tinged his voice. Aizawa nodded. "You need to learn to control this connection. It can be your greatest strength or your Achille's heel." He paused, a rare hint of concern in his voice. "The League will exploit this weakness if they get another chance. So, I'm putting you two in... therapy."
(they probably need this in the manga)A collective groan erupted from them. The image of being subjected to Recovery Girl's unorthodox methods, multiplied by therapy sessions, was enough to make them shudder. But Aizawa remained unfazed. "This isn't punishment, it's training. You'll be working with a specialist who can help you understand your connection, develop coping mechanisms, and ultimately, unlock its true potential." The mention of unlocking potential sparked a flicker of interest in their eyes. The raw power they experienced during the fight, when their attacks momentarily aligned perfectly, was undeniable. Perhaps there was a way to use this connection for good.
Meanwhile, in the shadows...
Shigaraki Tomura, his body pulsating with decay, watched a distorted video feed of Izuku and Bakugou. A sinister smile stretched across his face. "Emotional Static, an interesting quirk..." He turned to his doctor, a frail man with unsettlingly cheerful eyes. "Doctor, is it possible to replicate such a connection?" The doctor chuckled, a sound like dry leaves rustling. "With enough experimentation, Master Shigaraki, perhaps even surpass it." Shigaraki's smile widened. "Excellent. Then let's see what happens when we pit two amplified heroes against each other..."
