Beyond rivalry

News of Midoriya and Bakugo's relationship spreads beyond the walls of U.A. High. Pro heroes on patrol find themselves bombarded with questions about the "explosive couple" by curious citizens. News outlets run sensationalized headlines, their reports filled with speculation and dramatization.

Midoriya and Bakugo, used to the chaos of hero work, find the sudden celebrity status overwhelming. They're bombarded by autograph requests and fan letters addressed to them as a duo: "Deku and Dynamight – The Power Couple of Heroics!"

The most unexpected consequence, however, comes from the League of Villains.  Shigaraki Tomura, ever the instigator of chaos, finds the whole situation highly amusing."A hero and his childhood bully? Now that's a love story I wouldn't have predicted," he rasps, a chilling smile spreading across his face. Curious to see how this "weakness" might affect their performance, Shigaraki hatches a plan.  He assigns a seemingly simple mission to a low-level villain – a bank robbery with the specific instruction to capture both Midoriya and Bakugo.

Meanwhile, Midoriya and Bakugo are struggling with their newfound fame. As they walk through a crowded market, cameras flash in their faces,eager reporters bombard them with questions.  Bakugo, on the verge of exploding (literally and metaphorically), is restrained only by Midoriya's calming presence. Suddenly, a loud alarm blares, shattering the noisy chaos of the marketplace. A panicked voice announces a bank robbery in progress. Without hesitation, Midoriya and Bakugo spring into action.

They arrive at the bank to find a villain with a quirk that allows him to manipulate slime. The entire bank floor is covered in a sticky, green goo, effectively immobilizing hostages and police officers alike. The villain, surprised by the unexpected arrival of the "famous couple," taunts them. "So, hero lovers," he mocks, "how well do you work together when you're stuck in the muck?"

Midoriya and Bakugo exchange a quick glance. Despite their recent frustration with the public attention, there's a flicker of determination in their eyes. "We'll show you," Midoriya declares, a newfound resolve in his voice. They launch into action, their contrasting quirks surprisingly effective against the slime villain. Midoriya uses his agility to maneuver around the sticky mess, freeing hostages with quick, precise movements. Bakugo, his explosions strategically aimed, creates pockets of dry ground, allowing for movement and strategy.

Their teamwork, honed through years of playful sparring and their newfound understanding, proves formidable. Despite the initial surprise attack, they manage to overpower the villain and rescue everyone trapped in the sticky situation. As the police apprehend the defeated villain, Midoriya and Bakugo stand shoulder-to-shoulder, their clothes smeared with slime but their expressions triumphant.

The news media, witnessing their successful rescue mission, quickly changes its tune. Headlines now praise their "unconventional synergy" and their "strength as a team."  While the unwanted attention persists, it's clear that their unique bond has not weakened them as heroes.

Back at U.A. High, their classmates greet them with cheers and a newfound respect for their teamwork.  Mina, ever the instigator, hands them a customized t-shirt emblazoned with the words: "Deku & Kacchan: Sticking Together Through Thick and Thin (Literally)." Midoriya and Bakugo share an exasperated look, then burst into laughter.

Despite the challenges and unexpected consequences, their relationship, with all its quirks, is proving to be stronger than anyone could have imagined. They face the future together, a beacon of hope even in the face of villainy, slime, and sensational headlines.
