I woke up and for a moment I wondered if it had all been a dream I sat up in my bed and looked around my room trying to process what had happened The conversation with Alina replayed in my head and I could still see her face changing into my mom's And then Mr. Cassius's voice, sounding just like my dad's I shook my head trying to clear my thoughts "It's just a dream It's not real"

I reached for the phone that Atticus had given me and searched the internet for any information about Betty To my horror I saw that she was really dead

"Oh my God This is real. Mom really did possess Alina, and Dad possessed Mr. Cassius"

"Where did you get that phone from?" I heard Aunt Elodie's voice from behind me

I turned around, startled She was standing in the doorway Before I could say anything she snatched the phone from my hand and slammed it on the ground

"Aunty Elodie I didn't steal your money to buy this phone" I yelled

She slapped me twice across the face and I fell to the floor

"I don't care where you got that phone from Why are you waking up now?"

I tried to explain, but she cut me off "I heard what happened at school yesterday What is wrong with you?"

"I didn't do it" I protested but she just smirked at me

"You're a monster It's no wonder they named you Imogen  that's such a lame name You've always been a monster and now you're showing your true colors I know you'll kill me just like you killed your parents But I'm not going to let that happen I'm going to kill you first"

I felt my eyes change color and I knew I had to do something "I didn't kill my parents"

Aunt Elodie just slapped me again even harder than before. She dragged me to the mirror and forced me to look at my reflection "Look at yourself Look at your eyes You're a monster You're not human!"

I looked at myself and I didn't recognize the person I saw My eyes were a deep dark red and they looked almost inhuman I was terrified What was happening to me?

"I told your aunt the day she gave birth to you that she should have killed you But she wouldn't listen and look what happened you killed her you monster Anyway, you have a work to do Come downstairs this minute" With that she stormed out of my room

I wanted to scream to shout at her but then I remembered my mom's words

I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself down I picked up a book of poems and started to read Slowly I focused on the words and I felt the redness in my eyes fade away

I took another deep breath, and I whispered"What's wrong with me? Am I really a monster?"

I was in the kitchen cooking when I heard footsteps behind me

"Mum?" I said turning around It was Alina

"Mum??? are you missing your mom? I understand  But I don't think I look like her"

I didn't say anything, just continued to cook "she back to her normal self " I said to my self

"This looks really delicious"

"Do you want to taste it?" I asked

She nodded "Sure"  I gave her a taste and she smiled as she ate it

"You know you're nothing like your mom or your siblings"

She smiled again"Just because we share blood doesn't mean we share the same manners and attitude We're all different people"

"You're right We're all unique individuals"

Then she stopped eating and looked at me her eyes changing from brown to blue the same shade of blue as my mom's eyes

"Imogen Something's about to happen tonight You need to be careful Don't act rashly The countdown's begun"

I was taken aback I had no idea what she was talking about but the look on her face told me that she was serious..............
