Chapter 4: Adrian's Mysterious Encounter

Third POV

Adrian was enveloped by an enigmatic force, plunging him into a void of darkness, his consciousness transported to another dimension where time and space danced in a kaleidoscope of colors. When he opened his eyes, he found himself in an expansive, ethereal space, surrounded by twinkling lights and whispers of ancient voices. A shadowy figure stood before him, its presence both foreboding and comforting.

"Adrian," the figure's voice echoed through the void. Adrian looked around, puzzled, but couldn't locate the source. His surprise escalated when the voice called out again, and this time, he saw the speaker. His shock was palpable when he recognized the face - it was his own reflection. It was the face of the body he was inhabiting, a reincarnation.

"Hi, I'm Angelo," the figure introduced himself.

"Why am I in your body? And..." Adrian paused, realizing something odd. "Why does my personality feel different? I'm not usually like this. Angelo, what's happening to me?"

Angelo chuckled lightly, looking back at Adrian. "Maybe it's because you're in my body now." He then lowered his voice and murmured something Adrian couldn't hear, which piqued his curiosity.

"Hey Angelo, what are you whispering about?" Adrian asked. Angelo brushed it off with a cheerful response, "Oh, nothing. I was just saying that maybe being in my body is making you more talkative and inquisitive, which is a good thing, right?"

Adrian sighed, accepting the situation. "I guess this is okay. I was like this in my past life too, but only my close friends and associates saw this side of me. It's better this way."

Angelo noticed Adrian's change in mood and decided to engage him in a deeper conversation.

"Adrian, what if one day you discovered that who you think you are isn't really you?" Angelo asked gravely.

"Huh? I don't understand. How could that happen?" Adrian responded, confused.

"Oh, never mind," Angelo dismissed his question. "Just forget what I said."

A few minutes of silence passed before Adrian spoke up.

"Where am I, really?" Adrian asked.

"You're in another world," Angelo replied.

"I know that. I mean, which world is this?"

"Well, aren't you being sarcastic now?" Angelo laughed, stopping abruptly when he noticed Adrian's stern gaze. "Okay, okay. You're in a world filled with mysteries."

"You mean magic?!" Adrian paused, "Look at me, my personality is really changing. Ugh, I don't like this," he muttered, which Angelo heard despite the low volume.

"Yes, there's magic here. And if you want to know more about this world, you'll have to explore it yourself," Angelo advised before gradually fading away.

"Wait, what's happening to you?!" Adrian exclaimed, shocked at Angelo's disappearing act.

"I'm running out of time. I appeared to you to answer your questions. If you have more, try to use my memories or brain to adjust quickly. And if people around you notice anything unusual, just ignore them. Or you can ask Richard, the butler."

"But won't he suspect something?" Adrian queried.

"No, he thinks you have amnesia from falling off a cliff. Even if he suspects something, he won't tell anyone. He's been waiting for your return for a long time."

"What? What do you mean I fell off a cliff? That's why my body hurts so much!"

"Take care and welcome back!" Angelo said cheerfully before disappearing completely. Adrian was left wondering about Angelo's last words before he fainted again, and everything went black.
