Chapter 10: Kingdom Discoveries in the Library
Third Person POV
After Richard and Adrian had their meal, they immediately headed to the library.
Adrian's POV
"Wow, this library is huge."
"Yes, nearly every book in the world can be found here."
"Really? That's cool," I said, looking around in awe.
"This is also for the royalties studying here."
"Right, the school is nearby."
"Okay, I'll leave you here for a bit. Do you want anything to eat or drink so I can bring it here when I return?"
"Any kind of dessert will do. As for the drink, you choose."
"Alright, I'll be back, little brother."
After Richard left, I started exploring the massive library. 'This library is even bigger than the one in my house when I was still Adrian.'
While exploring, a blue book caught my attention. I picked it up and looked for a comfortable spot to read. I found a perfect spot near the window, sat down and opened the book.
As I was examining the book, Richard came back with the food.
"You're back."
"What's that book you're reading?"
"I'm not sure, I just picked it up."
"Can I see it?"
I handed him the book. He looked at it and said,
"I know this book. It's a book about the kingdoms. It contains all the information about the kingdoms including their kings and queens, their abilities, and even their children."
"So, all their information is here?"
"Yes, by the way, I need to leave again. I have to visit 'Papa Jaime' for your medicine. But before I leave, do you need anything else?"
"Yes, could you bring some pillows and a comfortable blanket? I'll put them here where I'm sitting."
"Sure, just wait for me."
After he left, I focused my attention on the book and started reading. It contained information about the kingdoms:
1. Kingdom of Lumina
- King: Aurelius Lumière
- Queen: Seraphina Lumière
- Representation: Light
- Main Power: Light magic, including healing, purification, and illumination.
2. Kingdom of Shadowvale
- King: Thorian Nightshade
- Queen: Elowen Nightshade
- Representation: Darkness and Shadows
- Main Power: Mastery of shadow magic, including shadow manipulation, stealth, and illusions woven from darkness.
3. Kingdom of Celestine
- King: Orion Starborn
- Queen: Lyra Starborn
- Representation: Sky and Stars
- Main Power: Celestial magic, flight, and weather manipulation.
4. Kingdom of Sylvanvale
- King: Sylvan Greenheart
- Queen: Aveline Greenheart
- Representation: Nature Forests and Earth
- Main Power: Earth manipulation, Nature, Weather control, plant growth, and communication with animals.
5. Kingdom of Elysium
- King: Oberon Dreamweaver
- Queen: Elara Dreamweaver
- Main Power: Mastery of dream magic, allowing the inhabitants to enter the dream realm, manipulate dreams, and extract knowledge or influence emotions through dream manipulation.
6. Kingdom of Valoria
- King: Valor Elementis
- Queen: Valoria Elementis
- Main Power: Elemental attunement, granting the residents the ability to channel and manipulate the elemental forces of nature, such as fire, water, air, and earth, for both protection and destruction.
'Wow, they're all so powerful. And the names of their kingdoms are so cool, almost like their own names,' I thought to myself.
I turned the page until I found information about the kingdom I'm currently in.
Kingdom of Astraea
- King: Cassius Astralis
- Queen: Selene Astralis
- Representation: Moon and Stars
- Main Power: Lunar Manipulation - Ability to control moonlight, manipulate lunar energies for healing, illusions, and enhancing magical abilities.
'So, this is it. No wonder they think the way they do,' I thought, waiting for Richard to return with the pillows and blanket.
"I'm back. Here are the pillows and blanket."
"Alright, give them to me." He handed me the items and I arranged them on the window seat. I sat down to see if it was comfortable. I couldn't help but smile because it was so comfortable.
"I'm leaving now," Richard said, bowing before leaving.
After Richard left, I lay down on the window seat. I was surprised that I fit, but I didn't think much about it and fell asleep.
Unknown POV
I was in the library when I noticed someone sleeping on the window seat.
'Impressive. He even prepared a spot to sleep,' I thought to myself as I watched him. Eventually, I decided to leave so as not to disturb him.
