Chapter 15: The Midnight Encounter in the Forest"

Third POV

In the middle of the night, Adrian woke up because of the cold wind entering his room.

Adrian thought to himself, "Why is it so cold?" He stood up to see where the cold air was coming from and noticed the balcony door was open.

"I'm sure I closed this yesterday, right?" he thought while looking outside the balcony.

"I didn't realize there's a forest near the palace. Why didn't I notice it last night?" he pondered until he decided, "I should go there."

After a few moments, he found himself at the center of the forest, where the moonlight shone on a wide field surrounded by tall trees.

While observing the surroundings, he noticed a nearby cave. He approached it and entered, finding some belongings inside. As he saw the items, memories of the cave's owner flooded his mind.

The memories caused a sudden headache, prompting him to rest for a while. After the pain subsided, he followed the path where he saw the cave owner pass by and discovered a deep ravine that could easily lead to a fatal fall with one wrong step.

"This is where Angelo fell," he sighed, recalling the pain he felt when he woke up in Angelo's body. Dark visions of Angelo's past experiences clouded his mind.

"Don't worry, Angelo. I'll take care of everyone who hurt and wronged you. I'll make sure they pay for what they did, and they'll kneel before me, begging for forgiveness," he promised silently before deciding to head home. As he walked out of the forest, he sensed someone following him.

"They're still following me. They've been following me since earlier," he thought, smiling.

"It looks like I won't be bored while waiting for the right moment to seek revenge. Why don't I try using my skills as Adrian, the former Most Dangerous Assassin?" he smirked at the thought. However, he realized he didn't have any weapons, but he was used to physical combat.

"Come on, let's start this," he said aloud before suddenly being attacked from behind.

In the middle of the forest, Adrian stood surrounded by a group of assassins who had been following him. He realized he was facing a group of skilled assassins and smirked, knowing he would face a tough battle due to Angelo's body. Thankfully, he go fastly to found a weapon in the cave to defend himself.

Adrian was calm and focused, ready to confront his opponents. The other assassins attacked him one by one, trying to overpower him with their weapons.

But Adrian was quick and skilled. He dodged their attacks and fought back with certainty and strength. His movements were like a creative dance, anticipating his opponents' moves before they made them.

As the battle continued, the other assassins realized the abnormality of the situation and that they were not just targeting a normal royalty. They tried to work together to defeat him, but he seemed too skilled and intelligent.

Adrian looked at the lone surviving and injured assassin who tried to kill him and asked, "Who are you?"

"You don't need to know," Adrian replied with a smile before swiftly ending the assassin's life with a fatal blow to the head.

(A/N: I apologize if the writing, especially the fighting scene, is not well-written. I'm not good at detailing those kinds of scenes. Maybe next time, I'll try. And by the way, thank you to those who are reading my story. Even it's not good, see you again in the next update.)
