Chapter 13: A Request and Negotation

Adrian's POV

Here we are now in the marketplace.

"It's quite big," I thought to myself as I looked around.

Richard asked, "So, what do you want to buy?"

"I want to get some clothes and other items that I can place in the library," I responded.

Amused, Richard asked, "Are you really planning to live in the library?"

"Maybe," I replied with a laugh.

"Alright, let's go. We might not make it back home in time if we don't hurry," Richard warned, and we started searching for a place where I could have clothes made.

After a few hours, we found a small store with beautifully displayed clothes. We entered, and a friendly middle-aged man greeted us.

"Good afternoon, what can I assist you with, gentlemen?" he greeted, bowing his head and smiling.

"Good afternoon. We would like to have some clothes made. Is that possible?" Richard inquired.

"Of course, it's possible. Please, have a seat," Alexander, the shop owner, replied.

He seated us and served us food and drinks.

"By the way, may I ask your name?" I asked him.

"It's Alexander. I am the owner of this shop," he replied.

"Okay. Can you make clothes based on these drawings?" I handed him a sketch pad, opened to pages with various clothing designs. I used to enjoy drawing when I was still Adrian, and luckily, I still have my sketches with me, even now as Angelo.

Alexander's eyes widened in surprise as he looked at the sketches. "Where did you get these? The designs are incredible!"

"I made them all. So, can you make these clothes?" I asked him.

"Yes, I can. What kind of clothes are you looking for?" he inquired.

I paused for a moment, then decided to show him a hidden feature. "By the way, Alexander, if you notice, I added a silencer shield here. They can't hear us while we're talking. It's just between the three of us, and you can't mention it to anyone else. Do you understand?"

Alexander nodded, somewhat taken aback by what I said.

"Before I forget, Alexander, if you see some exceptional craftsmanship and quality in the finished clothes, I will give you a higher payment. Do you understand?" I added.

"Yes, I understand. Thank you for your trust," he replied.

"By the way, Alexander, right? Just to let you know, I placed something in the chest. You can't spread the designs you saw there. It's only for the three of us, and you can't tell anyone about it. Do you understand?"

Again, Alexander nodded, surprised by my statement. We bid farewell and left, but before we could fully depart, I turned back to Alexander and said,

"By the way, if you happen to see some exceptional quality in the finished clothes, I'll pay you even more."

"Thank you for the visit to our humble little home." Alexander said

After that, we left the shop and returned home, leaving a few days for the making of the clothes.

"Now, where do you plan to go?" Richard asked me.

"Do you know any weapon makers here?" I inquired.

"Yes, there's one nearby. Are you planning to have a weapon made?" he asked.

"Yes, I want to have a weapon made."

"What kind of weapon?"

"Just wait until I ask them if they can make it. Once they agree, I'll look for the necessary materials for my weapon, and they will take care of making it."

"Alright then. Come, I know a place."

We proceeded to the location, which was a bit secluded and hidden.

"Hey! Who are you, and what are you doing here?" yelled a man who noticed us.

"Long time no see," Richard responded, turning to the man, much to my surprise. The man embraced Richard and said, "Long time no see too, my friend. Wait, who is this with you?" he asked, noticing me as I removed the face cover.

The man was surprised and said, "Why is someone like him here? How may I assist you? Is there something you need me to make? Keep in mind that the cost will be quite high, depending on the materials needed."

"Don't worry; I will ask you if you can create the weapon. Once I get confirmation, I will gather the necessary materials, and you will handle the rest," I explained to him.

"Alright, if that's what you want. It will be quite expensive though, is that alright with you?" the man inquired.

"Yes, that's fine. What do you think of me? Also, don't reveal anything to anyone," I warned him.

The man nodded, and after a few hours of negotiation, we concluded our discussion. Richard and I left, heading back to the palace.
