Jenna stopped by at exactly at six and I answered the door in a pair of jeans and t-shirt. She, on the other hand, had on shorts and a cute tank top.
“that’s what you’re wearing?” she asks without even say hi.
“uh, no?”
“right, no. come on, lets go get you something suitable.” She grabs my hand and drags me up the stairs. I have a feeling she’s been here more than just for the bakery. We enter my room where there is now a half-naked Tyler.
Not that I minded, and no, I don’t mean in the way that he’s totally hot or whatever. He’s my cousin, give me a break. It’s just that I’ve seen him like that before, got used to it I guess. What surprised me was Jenna walking up to him and giving him a quick peck on the lips before saying, “hey sweetie.” Yeah, defiantly wasn’t expecting that one.
“see? Told you, you were going to the party.” Tyler says, pulling his shirt fully on. Jenna walks over to my slightly unpacked suitcase and immediately pulls out a short dress, or long shirt, however you look at it.
“perfect!” she says, handing me the dress and then walking over to my shoes.
“ha, not even close. Lindsey can’t go to the party in just that Jens.” Tyler says, taking the dress out of my hands.
“fine,” Jenna sighs and walks back over to my suitcase, “they won’t show, so it’ll be eye-candy for the guys, but once they start grabbing, they’ll realize they’ll have to work to get something, happy?”
“ecstatic.” Tyler says, handing back the shorts and dress. Jenna grabs a pair of black heels and gives them to me.
“I um, don’t wear those.” I tell her.
“well now you do.” Fine, I’ll just put my flip-flops in my bag and switch when she’s not looking. I grab them from her and head to the bathroom to change. I must say, I did look damn good, but as mentioned before, I always think I look good.
I walk out of the bathroom to a waiting Jenna and Tyler.
“now that is how you dress for a party.” Jenna says, having me turn around, giving her the full view.
“can we go now? I have some guys to warn.” Tyler says, glancing toward me and then heading down the stairs. Jenna follows quickly after and that’s when I realize that their relationship is totally one-sided. Damn, this town’s not going to know what hit ‘em when Tally comes.
I wobble my way down the stairs, looking for something, anything, for support. God I hate heels.
We show up to the party and there is already a big group there. I’m pretty sure some of them were already drunk too. Jenna grabbed my hand and dragged me into the crowd while Tyler went to go talk to some guys. I got a soda and drank it all before going out onto the dance floor. Instantly some guy grabbed my hips and practically forced me to grind against him. Whatever I thought nothing to lose at this point. I don’t know how long I was in the crowd, grinding and jumping and screaming and doing everything else you do in the middle of a dance floor. But I can tell you that by the time I was able to get out, it was dark out and I both Jenna and Tyler were no where to be found.
“hey there pretty lady.” Some guy steps in front of me, slurring his words.
“hi, yeah, not interested, so please, just back off.” I tell him, trying to get by.
"You’re not taken, so you’re defiantly interested.”
I look around for some help, you know, Tyler walking in and spotting me or something. Well, Tyler did walk in but he didn’t spot me. This guy was probably to big and blocked his view.
