I showed Tally where she would be sleeping. In other words, where she should be sleeping. I knew that she’d be in Tylers bed for most of her stay here. She set her stuff down in my/Tylers room and then went back down to the bakery before I could even say bye.
Sometimes I wonder what she sees in him, or vice versa. But I guess I can’t badmouth them too much.
There was a light knock on my door and then it opened, “hey.” I heard Sean say quietly.
“hey.” I reply, sitting up more on my bed. Sean sits down on Tylers bed and looks over at me. “what?” I ask, suddenly feeling self-conscious.
“nothing.”
“uh-huh. I’m sure that was it.” He continued to stare at me, “really sean, you’re getting on my nerves now.”
“I’m bored.” He comments, like I hadn’t said anything.
“okay, come on, why did you come up here?”
“because I’m bored.” Sean answers a little too quickly.
“and?”
Sean sighs in defeat, “and because I’m supposed to ask you out for tomorrow night.”
I cross my arms, looking unimpressed. “supposed to? I would be more impressed if you wanted to.” He was silent, “so?” I ask, getting a tad bit impatient. I know that he was shy about this stuff, but honestly, I’m practically feeding him the words. “okay, repeat after me, ‘Lindsey, will you-‘” luckily he interrupts me.
Well, sort of. He got up off of Tylers’ bed and walked over to mine. He sat down on the edge and leaned over to me, “Lindsey, will you just shut-up?” he mocks and then crashes his lips onto mine. My eyes went wide at first and then fluttered closed. My hand instinctively reached up to his hair, getting my fingers tangled in it. Sean changed positions so that he was straddling me, making it so that I could also pull him closer which seemed like a necessity at the time.
I can’t say how long this would have gone on for, or how far we would’ve gone, because the sound of the door opening made us pull apart
“okay! Really?! Didn’t I just say I didn’t want to see this?” Tylers voice echoes through the room. “also though…finally. I thought you guys would never hook-up. I’ll leave you alone now.”
I couldn’t stop smiling and neither could Sean, who was still hovering over me.
“do you want to go to the fourth-of-July carnival with me tomorrow night?” he asks, breathless.
“I’d love to.”
