Tyler woke me up this morning. Who would have guessed? The guy who slept til noon was waking me up at seven.

“what do you want?” I ask, exhaustion on the tip of my tongue.

“I want to know what happened?”

I sigh and sit up some. “this guy wanted to do god knows what with me and I said no and he said something about it being okay since I didn’t have a boyfriend so I pretended you were my boyfriend. It’s fine, really.”

“it’s not fine. Do you know his name?”

“no. seriously Tyler, he backed off when he thought I was taken, no harm done.”

“fine, but next time I’m going to kick the guys’ butt.”

“sure you are.” I yawn, “what do you guys do for fun around here?” I ask since I had the day off.

“most of us guys play some beach volleyball or soccer or something.”

“sweet.” I loved playing soccer, especially in the sand.

“never said you could join.”

“and why not?”

"You? With ten of my friends? Not happening anytime soon girl.”

“oh come on, this whole big brother thing is getting tiring.”

“tell you what. I have to go meet the guys now and you have to go check in with my mom. If you can find us, you can join, got it?”

I smirk, “I think you underestimate my abilities Tyler.” I say before pushing him out of the room so that I could get dressed. I hear the door close below us, letting me know that Tyler had left.

I slowly walk down stairs, but heard voices as I got closer. So, being the sneaky me, instead of walking into the room, I take a seat on the steps.

“I’m just worried about him, ya know? He’s always walking along the beach with Rocket.” I hear a males voice say.

“not always, just the other day he was out with Tyler.”

“true.” the guy mumbles.

say his name. say his name. please, say his name! I think to myself.

“Sean’s a good kid Matthew, you just have to give him time.” Thank you Aunt Sally!!! I practically scream in my head. I carefully stand up and sneak back up the stairs before running down them like I usually do.

“good morning Lindsey” Sally says as I enter the room.

“isn’t it?” I ask, grinning.

Sally shakes her head in disbelief, “well I’ll be damned, something defiantly made you happy last night.”

“not something, someone.” I blurt out. Instantly I cover my mouth and turn to look at a gaping aunt, “I mean-uh.”

The guy sitting next to her, Matthew I suppose, smirked and I stop trying to make up an excuse. Instead, I walk over and introduce myself, “hi, I’m Lindsey Carson, this womans niece.”

“and I’m Matthew Fish, this womans friend.” My aunt smiles and rolls her eyes.

“Nice meeting you,” I say, shaking his hand. “hey, you guys wouldn’t happen to know where the guys play soccer, would you?”

“confidential information sweetie.” Sally says.

“fine, I’ll just find it on my own.” The two of them laugh as I trudge out of the room. I start walking on the road, thinking that if a bunch of guys drove by, that would be the way. I put my Ipod and shuffle and turn it up so that I had something to do on the walk around town.

about a mile or two into the walk I hear a honk behind me and someone parking. I turn around and spot the guy, Sean, stepping out of his truck. Rocket jumps out from the back of the truck and follows in tow.

“hey.” I say, tucking a piece of hair behind my ear.

“hi.” He replies, he looks around before focusing on me, “why you out here?” he asks.

I sigh, “okay, so I know it’s confidential, but could you please tell me where the guys play soccer?”

Sean laughs, “it defiantly is confidential.”

I start to protest but he breaks in, “but there’s no harm to adding in a few members.”

"You going that way?” I ask, slightly surprised. I never took him for a ball player.

Sean nods, “only thing to do on a Saturday.” He pauses, “Tyler is going to be so pissed when he sees you there.”

“eh, don’t worry about it. I know his weakness.” We both laugh at that.

“okay, get in before I change my mind.” We walk over to the truck and I slide into the passenger seat while he puts Rocket back into the back.

“so…” he starts awkwardly, pulling off of the side of the road.

“so…” I repeat with a smile, “when were you going to tell me your name.”

“uh-“ he’s stuck, blushing. Whoops, didn’t mean to make it more awkward.

“I mean, you got me all worried that it was some loser name like Albert or something.”

A smile slowly forms on his lips, “do I really look like an Albert?”

"You could, I don’t know.”

“well, my name’s not Albert, I can tell you that.”

“I know.” He looks at me sideways.

“what? Are you stalking me now or something?”

“actually I was getting the feeling that’s what you were doing with me.”

“yeah, well- it’s a small town, everyone runs into each other.”

“uh-huh. Anyways, no, I’m not stalking you.” I inform him, “your dad just has a voice that echoes well.”

“really? Cause he mentioned something about you eavesdropping.” Sean says, smirking at me.

“what, uh, else did you tell you?” I ask, worried about the whole ‘someone made me happy’ deal I said this morning, “also, how far out is this place?”

“far. And he didn’t mention much else besides the fact that he thinks you’re a nice girl.”

“and…?” I push for him to tell me more.

“and you make good cake.”

“sure there was nothing else?” I ask, making sure he truly didn’t say anything.

“why? Is there something you didn’t want him telling me?”

“uh, no.”

“he said you would be trying to find the guys’.”

“so you were stalking me?”

“I’d call it more saving you.”

“and why is that?”

he pulls into a gravel parking lot and stops. Before getting out of the truck he turns to me, “because, we just drove 25 miles. Really think you could’ve done that one?”

“fine, I wouldn’t have found it without you.” Sean smiles and gets out of the truck, closing the door. None of the guys paid attention and continued kicking the ball around. Once I get out, and the sound of the door closing echoes, heads turn.

I smirk victoriously as I see the shock on Tylers face.
