Hey, guys. This chapter is a little shorter because I don't have any motivation for this chapter, despite loving this episode because Bill Burr is hilarious. Anyway, Happy Easter!

Elaine struggled against her bonds, grunting in frustration when her efforts were fruitless. She slumped back against the cold metal wall of her cell. She sat on a bench in an otherwise empty cell. Her hands were bound in cuffs, surprisingly small enough for her hands.

She didn't know how long she and Grogu had been captured for, but it couldn't have been too long. Mando would come back for them, just like he had before.

The door opened, ripping the girl from her thoughts. Standing before her was a man dressed in all black with a cape. His gaze was cold and calculating, like he was trying to decide how to dissect the girl. Elaine swallowed hard. "What do you want me for?" She was terrified, but she wanted answers. If she wasn't a Jedi, why did they want her?

Moff Gideon pressed his mouth into a thin line. "You, young Elaine Solace, are quite the enigma. You have a low M-Count, unlike your green friend. Yet, the powers the Jedi wielded–the Force– is with you, in a sense."

Elaine remained quiet as he crossed the cell floor to her. "You see, the Jedi have a sixth sense almost. They can feel the emotions of the people around them. Your people have that ability, and some of you can even share emotions with people." He crouched down to her level. "You are the missing link between people who have high M-Counts and those who do not. You, the last of Ovain, Elaine Solace, are the key to infusing the Force into those numb to it."

He stood and walked out of her cell, his cape swaying behind him. Elaine felt tears well in her eyes as she thought of what experiments she would fall victim to. But more so, she thought of Mando and Grogu. In her confinement, the girl realized what her vision meant. First she saw her mother fleeing with her when she was a baby. Then she saw Mando and Grogu. Both times she saw her family, and both places were where she belonged.

Mando felt himself start to panic when the Imperial scanner didn't register his helmet. He needed to get into the system to find the kids. It beeped angrily at him, threatening to shut down if he didn't show it his face.

The dark troopers taking the kids away flashed through his mind, along with Elaine's desperate scream.

Papi!

He took off his helmet without hesitation, willing to do anything for his kids.

Moff Gideon walked into the bridge. One of the officers glanced at him warily. "Sir.." She said. "You should see this." She pressed a button and a transmission came through. A transmission from the Mandalorian.

"Moff Gideon." He said. "You have something that I want. You may think you have some idea of what you are in possession of, but you do not. Soon, they will be back to me. They mean more to me than you will ever know."

The transmission ended, leaving everyone but the Moff nervous. Gideon, however, just felt rage. This Mandalorian dared to claim possession to what was rightfully his? Then he has something coming.
