love had been forbidden from your life. not by choice, however. all you ever wanted in life was to be loved by someone special. someone who saw you for who you truly were. but it was all taken away from you in a blink of an eye.

you always knew your dad was protective over you. he didn't want your heart to be broken, and you understood him. but, i guess you never took him seriously because once you opened up to him about how you were in a talking stage with your best friend chris, he flipped out and gave you a whole speech on how he wanted you to end things with him; how you were too young to date, and if you got pregnant from chris he would murder him. you found this so unfair because you thought you were old enough to make your own decisions, considering you were about to be a senior in high school. but you knew you couldn't disobey your dad.

chris, your best friend since you two were both kids has been the only person in your life who listens. he was the first person you went to when your mom passed away. it was the worst news you ever had received in your life and chris was the first one to comfort you. you stayed with him for about a week, and you two grew closer during that time. you both opened up to each other more and grew a stronger bond.

it was the last night you were there before you went home to your dad was when you two shared a kiss. which turned into more. you two were both overwhelmed with emotion and don't know how it started or why it happened. it just felt right. chris was so gentle with you like if one touch of his fingertips was going to shatter you, like you were a fragile porcelain doll. he treated you like a princess that whole night, and for the first time in a while your spark returned.

you and chris decided to go slow, to see where this relationship could go. until, you made the biggest mistake of your life and told your dad how you felt about chris. your dad previously didn't like chris very much. he thought he was some sort of frat boy who was going to leave you in the dust some day. obviously he was wrong; chris loved you deeply and would kill for you. and you knew he was wrong, because you would do the same for chris.

once you informed chris on how your dad reacted in the situation, you two decided to keep a secret relationship because you both knew how bad you wanted it. and you knew how bad you wanted him. chris was willing to wait for your dads approval over him, no matter how long it took.

you were relaxing in your room on a sunday night, studying for a chemistry test you had the next day. well, not so much relaxing. more like stressing.

your head started to hurt and you found yourself thinking more about the chemistry with chris, rather than the chemistry you needed to be thinking about. suddenly, your thoughts were interrupted by the vibration of your phone. you tore your gaze away from the papers in front of you to your glowing phone beside you. you smiled seeing chris's name pop up on your phone.
