𝟎𝟐𝟏. flowers (mother's day special)

it was your first year being a mother of a beautiful baby girl. you had gotten pregnant by your now fiancé, chris when you were both twenty years old. it was sudden and an accident but your little girl changed your lives for the better and you both couldn't be happier. and god, did you love chris. you two started dating in high school and almost immediately fell in love with each other. there's been ups and downs, but where you both are now is where you are most happy. and chris couldn't agree more.

you woke up to arms being wrapped around your waist and a few soft kisses being placed on your neck by a pair of familiar lips of chris's. you smiled and stirred in the boys arms until your were face to face with him, your noses gently brushing together. chris smiled and pushed his lips into yours, kissing you gently.

"happy mother's day, baby." chris whispered as he pulled away from you.

you giggled and kissed him once more. "thank you, babe." you whispered back.

suddenly there was a little grunt from beside you. you smiled and rolled away from chris and looked down to see your baby girl, olivia in her bassinet just now waking up. you started to shuffle to get up and get olivia but chris gently placed a hand on your chest to lay you back down.

"don't get up, i've got her. it's your day to stay in." chris leaned in and kissed your cheek then pulled the covers off of himself and got out of bed.

"thank you, chris." you sighed, leaning against the headboard of the bed.

chris gently got olivia out of the crib and cradled her in his arms then gently moved her to rest on his shoulder as he rocked back and fourth. you warmly smiled at the sight of the two. you always knew chris would make the best dad.

"she slept well last night." you commented.

chris pressed a kiss to olivia's head then flicked his eyes up to meet yours. "yeah, guess so. i felt like i could actually sleep last night. well, besides getting up to feed her." chris smiled then walked over to you and set the baby in your arms. then chris made his way back over to the bed, sliding back into the covers and scooting close to you.

"you could've woken me to feed her, chris." you giggled, turning to face him and kissing the side of his head.

"yeah, well, it's mother's day and i wanted you to sleep." chris blushed then ran a hand through his hair.

"thank you." you whispered then looked down to olivia in your arms and smiled then kissed her head. her blue eyes opened and met yours as she stared at you. you smiled, knowing she has the same eyes as her dad.

shit... do i get her red or pink? wait, maybe white. no... chris thought, struggling on what color of rose to get you. you loved roses, they were definitely one of your favorite flowers so chris had kind of snuck out of the house to get you some gifts with your daughter. he had originally told you he was running to the store to get some groceries for the week, but instead he was actually running to the gift shop to get you flowers and chocolate with olivia.

chris glanced down to the baby girl in her stroller who was looking at him confused. chris chuckled, "what, livy? what flowers would mommy like, hm?" chris smiled down at olivia. olivia giggled at chris and chris laughed.

chris looked up and down the flower isle until he finally decided on getting a custom bouquet made for you of all three colors. he waited with olivia until one of the ladies brought out the bouquet. chris smiled as she handed him the flowers.

"are they for your mom?" the lady asked with a bright smile.

"uh, no, for my fiancé, actually." chris chuckled.

the ladies expression dropped as she glanced down and saw the baby girl in the stroller. chris knew immediately what she was thinking and what she wanted to say. aren't you a bit young to be engaged? or, is that you're baby? oh, that poor girl, how'd you get her pregnant so young? or, how old are you? the truth is chris has heard it all, and so have you.

"have a nice day." chris faked her a smile then walked away with olivia and the flowers. he walked over to the candy isle and picked out your favorite kind of chocolate that was in a pink heart box. (if you don't like chocolate or you're allergic to it or something, think of something else! xx)

chris smiled and walked over to the checkout and paid for everything then made his way back to the car with his daughter. chris had a smile on his face the whole car ride home. he was so excited to see your reaction.

once he arrived home he walked into the house with olivia in his arms. "i'm home, love!" chris called. you skipped over to the entrance of your home and took your baby out of chris's arms and kissed her all over her face.

"hello, livy! how was your adventure to the store? did you have fun with daddy?" you asked the nonverbal baby. olivia giggled her cute baby giggle as you laughed and kissed her cheek.

chris chuckled then walked closer to you and lifted your face up to his by your chin with his fingers. you smiled and kissed chris back. "where are the groceries?" you asked glancing behind chris and cocking your eyebrow to see nothing.

"in the car." chris smirked then kissed your cheek and hurried outside to grab the flowers and chocolate.

"oh no, livy what is daddy up to now?" you grinned, seeing the mischievous smirk on chris's face. you set your baby in her stroller nearby as chris returned, walking towards the house with the bouquet in one hand and the chocolates in his other hand. you giggled "oh my god, baby!" you exclaimed.

"happy mother's day, y/n." chris chuckled, handing you the flowers and kissing your forehead. "you deserve it."

"thank you, chris, oh my god they are beautiful." you smiled, pecking chris's lips then smelling the flowers and looking at the pink, white, and red flowers. chris handed you to chocolate and you read the label. "thank you, chris, you really didn't have to." you smiled.

"i love you, happy mother's day." chris kissed you once more.

"i love you too. thank you, babe." you blushed.
