Three days had passed since Catherine replied back to April.
The fairies and elves of Valeria were carelessly enjoying the summer day unaware of the events that were about to take place.
Tanya and April were spending the day in the throne hall organising the set of scrolls full of information about the citizens of Valeria.
"Are we finally done?" Tanya questioned April.
"Yeah. That would be all for today." April answered.
"Yeah, for today."
"You don't have to be helping me, you know that, right?"
"Yeah, it's okay. I don't mind."
"Hey, I nearly forgot. I got you something." April went to her bag and started searching through it. "I wanted to give you this for a while now but with everything that went off."
She found the smooth pine wooden box she was looking for and gave it to Tanya.
She opened it and saw what was inside.
"Your white calla lilly hairpin?" Tanya was shocked.
"Yeah. Well, I was thinking, I don't really have an outfit that it goes with and you asked for it more than once, why not permanently give it to you as a gift?"
"Thank you."
At that moment, Livian walked through the throne hall doors and kept his eyes on April.
"Can I talk to you, alone, please?" Livian asked.
"I, umm... Okay." April answered.
"I'll give you two a minute." Tanya smiled at both of them and walked out of the throne door.
"So, what is it that you would like to talk about?" April asked Livian.
"Well, I wanted to talk about that night, well, the night we kissed."
He smiled and stepped forward.
He drew himself closer and took her hands.
"Everything that happened, well, I still love you."
April smiled shyly. "I love you, too."
At that moment they both hugged and stayed in that position for a while.
Meanwhile, in Narindel, Catherine and Aaron were out of the castle going for a walk, attending to have a talk in the peace and quiet.
"You're awfully quiet today." Aaron said.
"You noticed that?" Catherine said and continued to explained. "Many years ago, on this exact day, I lost my family. Tanya's father gave his life in order to protect us, then I had to surrender Tanya too, in order to protect her."
"I'm sorry you have to go through all that. But in the end, you did the right thing, Tanya grew up into a big girl, so kind and always ready to help. Anyways, how are you doing with the text?" Aaron said.
"I did translate it, but I still don't understand what the riddle means."
"But you told April that everything was alright anyways, do you think she wouldn't find out?"
"There's no use in upsetting her too. We need to let her have a few days of no worries."
It's been over a month since Ember's attack on Valeria. April, Tanya, Livian and Dairon spent the last few days in techniques.
And they were just finishing of today's training.
Livian and Dairon left the balcony to deliver the final orders of potions which April and Tanya made last night. April and Tanya lingered around the balcony for a little while.
