CHAPTER 18

Recap : Kavin fell unconscious and someone opened the door.

Raj and Priya came inside along with the CID team and they made Kavin lay on the bed. Purvi was downstairs as she thought they were discussing the case and she shouldn't disturb them.

'Kavin tumhe aakhir hua kya hai..? Yeh sab kya kar rahe ho tum..?' Priya questioned him.

'Aisa bhi kya majburi hai Kavin jo tum hum sab se chupa rahe ho..?' Raj questioned.

'Mai Purvi ko apne saath aur nahi baandh sakta.. Uska khud ka ek life hai aur vo bhi khush rehna deserve karti hai.. Mai jaanta hu ki maine usse shaadi kar ke ek galti kiya aur 8 saal ke baad bhi hamara rishta usi mukam par hai, yeh mera dusra galti hai kyunki usne bhi toh apne life partner ke saath zindagi jeene ka kai sapne dekhti hogi na.. Aur ab use apne saath yun hi baandh ke teesra galti kar raha hu..' Kavin's reply made everyone speechless as Kavin is right.

'Dekho Kavin, vo khushiyan tum bhi de sakte ho Pari ko..' Raj said while Kavin gave a smile in return with tears in his eyes which he didn't allow to flow.

'Yeh baat aap keh rahe ho ? Aap pichle 8 saal se dekh rahe ho ki Purvi mere saath kitni khush hai..' Kavin looked at Raj who went speechless. Kavin then woke up seeing his mother too.

'Aap bhi yaha hai toh Purvi vaha akeli hai..?'

'Tum rest karo mai..' His mother replied but he interrupted and got up and searched for her in the whole house and found her on the terrace gazing the stars.

'Thank god vo thik hai..' Kavin thought and then he was about to go near her when his mom stopped him.

'Tum jao aur rest karo, mai yahi hu Purvi ke paas..' Kavin nodded in yes and went to his room. He asked everyone to leave him alone and he laid on the bed and cried silently.

Priya went near Purvi and kept her hand on her shoulder making Purvi turn towards her.

'Mai..'

'I am fine..' Purvi replied and went downstairs.

Priya was frustrated and her mother Shalini came near her keeping her hand on her daughter's shoulder.

'Mummy... Kyu..? Mai maanti hu ki Kavin aur Purvi ke beech... Lekin isme meri kya galti hai..? Mujhe excuse banake dono alag ho rahe hai.. Mummy, mai kya karu ab..?' Priya hugged her mother.

Kavin thought that his mom was with Purvi so he was lying on the bed while everyone thought she went to other bedroom. Everyone was in the hall except for Purvi and Kavin.

Purvi on the other hand was sitting on a sofa in someone's house. She stood up and went near a wall and saw a photograph. It was her along with her brother Nakul. She drifted into her past.

Purvi was in her college working as an assistant under her professor and being a bright student her professor always called her for assistance so that she can make her colleagues learn things easily.

One day she was watching the news about her father shooting someone but she couldn't hear completely as she received a message to come to the morgue and what she saw made her shocked to the core. She saw Nakul's corpse with a bullet near his chest.

She couldn't say a word and fell unconscious. She was taken to the infirmary and when she woke up she saw the news that Pradyuman shot his own son Nakul and killed him. That day her whole world collapsed.

"Mai mission pe jaa raha hu Pari, tumhe toh pata hai na mai papa ko surprise dena chahta hu ek CID officer banke, isliye yeh baat abhi hum dono ke beech hi rehne do pls.." Her brother Nakul's words echoed in her ears.

She cried holding the picture near her chest. She remembered how she had a trauma from that time getting too close to people. She couldn't blame her father as she can understand his situation, she knew very well that if she stays near her dad, he will remember his own son's death and hence she shifted to USA.

'Papa ka koi galti nahi tha lekin.. Lekin aap nirdosh the, aapko pata nahi tha ki jin logon ke saath aap milke Cid officer ban ne ka sapna dekh rahe the vo log Cid officers nahi balki aatankvadi nikalenge.. Yeh baat mai papa se kaise kehti bhaiyya..' She cried her heart out after so many years.

The photo fell down and she fell on the floor and her tears dried up. She stared blankly at the ceiling and suddenly the door got opened. She turned back and...........

'Mujhe aise neend nahi aayega' Kavin thought and then he decided to go downstairs. He saw everyone sleeping there as it was late night.

Since he didn't saw her there, he thought she was sleeping in the other room and he slightly opened the door only to see that 2 people were sleeping on the bed. He assumed his mom and Purvi sleeping on the bed, so he filled a waterbottle and went upstairs and laid on the bed again.

He couldn't sleep so he woke up and went to the balcony. His gaze coincidentally fell on the parking area and he saw that her scooty was missing. He got suspicious and went to the other bedroom and saw Priya sleeping with his mom. He panicked and went out in search of his wife...

'Purvi... Purvi....' He called in his loud voice but no response in return. He called her again and again but her phone was switched off.

'Agar Purvi ko kuch bhi hua na toh mai apne aap ko kabhi maaf nahi karunga...' He thought and called his team and they all woke up and went out in search of her.

Pankaj found her last location was in Pradyuman's house and everyone went there and saw the house was on fire. Kavin ran inside without a second thought and searched for her here and there calling her name again and again. He came to the bedroom and saw......
