CHAPTER 26

'Aap yeh kya keh rahe ho Dr. Tarika ?' Kavin questioned. Listening to what Tarika said, he cuts the call.

'Kya hua Kavin ? Kya kaha Tarika ji ne ?' Abhijeet looked at Kavin. Kavin and the team let Avinash go and then Kavin asks the team to go to the forensic lab.

'Tarika ji.. Kya hua hai ? Aisa kya keh diya aapne jise sun ne ke baad Kavin kaafi pareshaan hai..' Abhijeet inquired. Kavin was downstairs in his car holding his head. He didn't sleep nor had a proper meal from few days.

'Abhijeet vo..' Tarika was about to say something when the door got opened and Raj entered inside along with Priya.

'Dr. Tarika kuch pata chala us fingerprints ke baare mei ? Chodunga nahi mai use jisne bhi Pari ki jaan lene ki koshish ki..' Raj was angry.

'Vahi batane toh maine CID team ko yaha bulaya hai.. Vo finger prints ek aurat ke hai jiska umar lagbag 50-60 saal hai..' Tarika informed the team.

'50-60 saal ? Tarika tumne sahi se check kiya na ?' Daya questioned and Tarika nodded in yes.

'Kamal hai jab bhi hum forensic lab aate hai, yeh dono doctors kuch na kuch aisa saboot dete hai jisse ki pura ka pura case ulat pulat ho jaata hai..' Priya said.

'Ab tak toh hamara shak Avinash, vo aadmi aur ladki pe tha jiski umar lagbag 30 saal honge zyada se zyada.. Ab yeh 50-60 saal ki aurat kaha se aayi hai ?' Dushyant said.

'Kavin.. Ab vahi kuch bata sakta hai.. Vo aag mei khud ke apni jaan jhokim mei daal ke Pari ko bachaya.. Usne kuch toh dekha hoga andar ghar mei..' Daya said. The team went downstairs and saw Kavin was about to fall, Dushyant held him.

'Dushyant, Kavin ko ghar le jao.. He needs rest..' Abhijeet ordered. Dushyant took Kavin to Pradyuman's house and smiled at Kavin.

'Kavin, mere sher, dekh kaha le aaya mai tumhe.. Ab is kamjori ka faayda utha aur Purvi ke saath time spend karo.. Aur saath hi saath uski safety ka khyaal rakho tum.. Ek teer se do nishaan.. See mai kitna smart hu..' Dushyant praised himself.

'Smart toh tu hai hi isliye tu mera bhai hai (not by blood but by relation)..' Kavin said in a weak tone with half opened eyes and a faint smile.

Dushyant asked Kavin to keep his eyes closed and just watch how smart he is. He took a promise from Kavin that whatever happens now, Kavin will not open his eyes infront of Purvi and pretend to be unconscious. Dushyant rang the door bell and Purvi opened the door and looked at him.

'Purvi, sorry itni raat ko disturb karne ke liye.. Vo actually, Kavin Priya ke bachchon ko dhundh raha tha na toh vo thik se na khaya na soya kaafi dinon se.. Uski tabiyat kuch thik nahi hai.. Aunty ke paas le jaaunga toh vo pareshaan ho jaayengi aur Priya ke baare mei tum jaanti ho na, vo case mei busy rehti hai.. Tum ek doctor bhi ho, please Kavin jab tak thik nahi ho jaata uska khyaal rakho na..' Dushyant looked at her.

'Kaha hai vo ?'

'Car mei hai.. Behosh hai abhi.. Mai le aata hu usko..' Dushyant went near Kavin and while lifting, he told everything to Kavin.

'Behosh rehna saari raat..' Dushyant said.

'Saari raat use apne paas rakhne ke liye use saari raat apne liye fikar karwata rahu ?' Kavin questioned Dushyant.

'Tum jo bhi karo lekin bas Purvi ke saath rehna..' Dushyant said and made Kavin lay on the sofa. He looked at Purvi.

'Dushyant, aapke andar insaaniyat hai ya nahi ? Bimaar insaan ko sofe pe leta rahe ho ?' Purvi glared at him. Kavin controlled his smile seeing how she scolded Dushyant. Dushyant made him lay on the bed up in her room. Dushyant left from there. Purvi closed the door and came near Kavin.

She checked his pulse and heartbeat with her stethoscope, noted his health condition on a paper. She checked for fever and noted that he has slight fever. After that she went downstairs. Kavin opened his eyes and wondered where she went. After sometime, she came and he closed his eyes. She fed him tomato soup which he liked the most. After that, she gave him medicine to reduce his fever and laid beside him.

After sometime, Kavin opened his eyes and continued watching her face. She was in deep sleep, he gave a small kiss on her forehead, she turned in her sleep and hugged him. He cuddled her back.

'Kaash yeh waqt yahi tham jaata jaan.. Kaash mai tumhe yun hi apne bahon mei lipat ke rakh paata apni saari umar..' Kavin thought. He wanted to cuddle her so tightly, kiss her but then he was reminded that she can't conceive and he was the one responsible for it.

Dushyant came to the bureau on the other hand. Raj came near him.

'Kavin kaha hai ? Aunty ne kaha ki bachche so gaye aur vo hum sab ka aane ka wait kar rahi hai..' Raj asked Dushyant who informed what he did.

'Bahut achcha kiya Dushyant.. Kavin uske saath rahega toh Purvi ki jaan ko koi khatra nahi hoga..' Raj sighed.

On the other hand, someone came inside and due to the darkness, the person accidentally woke Kavin up.

'Purvi.. Purvi utho..' Kavin recognised Suraj's voice.

'Yeh yaha kya kar raha hai ?' Kavin thought. Kavin felt a kiss on his cheek (Suraj's side).

'Yeh Purvi ko kiss kyun karna chahta hai ?' Kavin was mad.

'Purvi ke gaal itne rough kyun hai ?' Suraj said in a low tone. Kavin closed his eyes. Suraj turned on the flashlight at a distance and saw Kavin. He slowly walked and went towards Purvi. He was about to wake her up. Kavin turned and cuddled her tightly.

Purvi woke up with his cuddle and looked at him. Suraj called her name in a low tone making sure they don't wake Kavin up. Purvi broke the hug slightly and turned towards Suraj. Kavin came near her and hugged her from behind but in real, he was trying to hear their conversation.

'Waah Purvi.. Ek toh mujhe kaam pe lagaya aur khud yaha Kavin se saath romance kar rahi ho ?' Suraj looked at her.

'Vo so rahe hai.. Romance kaha kar rahe hai hum ?' She looked at Suraj.

Suraj smiled and said how she kissed Kavin on the night she met Karan after a decade. And after that how they went to their farmhouse and....

Purvi covered his mouth with her hand and replied that he should talk about work.

'Bas yeh file mila hai.. Medical language mujhe samajh nahi aata, tum dekh lo..' Suraj left the file on the table beside her and left.

She turned towards Kavin and cuddled him back while he wondered why she chose Suraj secretly for getting some information on something. But then he was relaxed thinking Suraj was working on something that's why he was missing and Chakor will not file a case when he informs her this truth.

But wait, is he dreaming ? Purvi is cuddling him. He just took a glance at her and gave a smile and cuddled her tightly. But then he wondered, why did Purvi chose Suraj only ? She could have chosen him too or someone from the bureau, may be Abhijeet and Daya too. Also, what secret was she hiding infront of the CID team ?
