Kavin and Purvi got married through a case (missing from taxi) and Kavin used to love Priya. On the marriage day, Pradyuman shot Sahil, Purvi's college friend whom the CID mistook as Purvi's love. But later they found that Sahil was just her college friend and not her love. However, one day Purvi went to a house and saw something from a safe and was shocked to see that. She vowed to herself that she will find out the truth behind whatever happened.

Even after 8 years of their marriage, Kavin and Purvi used to sleep separately. But, Kavin hid the truth that he loves Purvi and not Priya as Priya is his elder sister who married Raj urf Nakul (Purvi's elder brother and Pradyuman's son) who was shot during a mission. But Purvi was unaware of the fact that Nakul is still alive with another identity. Purvi being unaware of the fact that her brother is still alive, she stays away from her father as she doesn't want to remind her father that he shot his son taking his life and her brother (according to Purvi).

Suraj, Purvi's colleague re-enters her life and tries to propose her and marry her which Shalini allows but Kavin has the confidence that his wife Purvi will never marry anyone else. So he signed the divorce papers but Purvi stays with Kavin and Suraj questions how Purvi can stay with Kavin when he doesn't give the love she deserves? And how she sacrifices her dreams regarding her man every day. But Chakor makes Suraj understand about how he is being a pain to Purvi by following her all around as Suraj is pissed off due to Chakor following him around. Later, Suraj and Chakor marry.

Raj joins CID and tries to help Kavin with his methods but Kavin fails as he is too focused on Purvi. Kavin and Purvi divorce (Kavin's sign on divorce papers as he signed the divorce papers for Suraj). Problems arise when Rahul, a suspect of a mission done by Kavin and Raj returns as a neighbour of Kavin and he proposes Purvi to marry him and in return he will help Purvi to find out the truth. But Purvi finds some truth with the help of Vikas and breaks her marriage with Rahul as he is already married and decides to go to London but Kavin tries to stop her. However, the team gets a case of a drug dealing and they were surprised to see Purvi with Aman (Karan's friend) and the team learns that Priya is alive.

Later Kavin narrates his story to his team about being in a mission and a clue lead him to a college and he disguised himself and he fell for Purvi when he saw her and wanted to confess his feelings towards her but couldn't as he was busy with his mission. He saw that she proposed Karan but got rejected and then they stayed as friends. Kavin decided to enter Purvi's life and confess his feelings but on the same day, Raj urf Nakul acted and died in front of the world and after that Purvi left to London. But Kavin received threats of her being in danger and one day he got information about her arrival and he made a plan and they prepared a case of missing people and that's how he married her and tried to keep her safe. But truth was out infront of the team that she is Pradyuman's daughter.

Later Abhijeet and Daya inform Pradyuman about a letter Purvi wrote to them which brought tears in Pradyuman's eyes. They realised how much pain Purvi has gone through. Kavin wanted to talk to her and went near her but saw a letter and went to a farmhouse.

After that Kavin becomes a prime suspect in Karan's murder as Purvi's doppelganger call him to a farmhouse and then she makes him unconscious and when he woke up he saw Karan's corpse but he was proved innocent by the police officer Naresh. The cops get busy in solving the murder case when attacks happen on Purvi.

But before that, the cops were suspicious that Purvi saw Priya and then Kavin brings Priya to his house and Purvi fixes their marriage but Purvi goes to Pradyuman's house and someone tries to kill her by setting her on fire. Even her neck has traces of someone strangling her to death. Kavin gets pissed off as she doesn't share anything with him. She says that Kavin already knows everything about her and there's nothing that she needs to share with him. Purvi goes to a park, someone tries to shoot her but Karan rescued her and Kavin sees Karan and Purvi having a conversation when someone tries to kill her and Karan rescued her. Kavin understood that it was Purvi's plot to distract the cops with the murder mystery of Karan.

Kavin feels sad as he thought Purvi loves Karan only but to his surprise, she kissed him and they make out that night. The next day, Kavin informed the team that Karan wasn't murdered and it was Purvi's plot to distract them. So he wanted to have a talk with Purvi and he left for the hospital. Soon, Avinash Kapoor, the director of the hospital injects Purvi and she becomes semi-conscious and Kavin gets mad when he finds out and comes near her and held her. Purvi informs him that someone really died in place of Karan.

Later someone hits Kavin from behind and the team rescued Kavin. Later they saw the girl on a board (where Kavi's pics were there while investigating they went to a home through the sandalwood scent Purvi's doppelganger was wearing). Kavin was about to shoot her but Purvi came in between and her uterus got damaged so bad that she can't conceive anymore. The girl on the other hand, was taken to the interrogation room. Kavin was guilty and on the other hand, he has to defend Mumbai as the team was abducted and there were no cops (police). He can't even pick a gun. Purvi gave him the courage but she was trying to stop an older man so that Kavin can defend Mumbai. Kavin left having no other option as Purvi pushed him out and closed the door.

While searching for his team, Kavin found and got trapped inside a room. CID team and Kavin were trapped and Purvi strangled herself to save the team so that they could defend Mumbai while Kavin stayed with Purvi in the hospital. Also, Raj and Priya's kids were missing, so Raj and Priya went in search of their kids.
