CHAPTER 40

'Kavin, I am sorry, lekin maine tumhare peet peeche Purvi pe nazar rakha..' Dushyant confessed.

'Mai jaan na chahta tha ki Purvi humse kya kya chupa rahi hai.. Aur bahut time se Purvi yaha aati hai vo bhi har roj.. And you know what, bahar se yeh ek ghar hai magar andar ek lab hai.. Mai sab kuch dekh nahi paaya kyunki Purvi andar hi thi aur jab vo bahar aayi toh taala lagake gayi.. Koi password hai, security bahut zyada hai lab ka.. Mujhe aisa lag raha hai ki Purvi us lab mei kuch toh kar rahi hai.. I just hope ki vo jo bhi kar rahi hai usme logon ki bhalai ho..' Dushyant looked at Kavin.

'Andar chalte hai..' Kavin said.

'Purvi, tum... Tumse yeh umeed nahi tha jaan.. Natak kar rahi thi hum sabke saamne... Pata bhi hai ki kitna hurt ho raha hai mujhe..' Kavin thought. Dushyant kept his hand on Kavin's shoulder, Kavin looked at him and followed the direction of his gaze and saw Dhruv.

'Yeh yaha kya kar raha hai ?' Kavin thought. Kavin and Dushyant both went inside but making sure that they were not stopped by Purvi and Dhruv.

'Purvi are you sure ? Tumhe pata hai na ki ek baar yeh injection lag jaayega tumhe toh overdose hoga aur fir tumhara yaadash hamesha ke liye mit jaayega..' Dhruv looked at her. Kavin was furious and before Dhruv can inject her, he went near them and threw the injection.

'Dushyant, Dhruv ko hatkadi lagao.. Case file karo, usne meri biwi ko injection deke uski yaadash mitana chaha hamesha ke liye.. Vaise bhi yeh meri biwi ka peecha karta hai, iska maksad kuch bhi ho sakta hai..' Kavin turned his gaze towards Dushyant.

Dushyant understood that Kavin wants to make Purvi helpless by making Dhruv arrested and she will confess the truth in order to save Dhruv. Dushyant handcuffed Dhruv.

'Maine Purvi ke kehne pe hi use injection lagana chaha.. Purvi kuch kaho na.. Yeh log mujhe jail le jaayenge...' Dhruv looked at her.

'Dhruv.. Chalo..' Dushyant dragged him outside.

'Kam se kam alibi toh lo..' Dhruv looked at Dushyant.

'Nahi lena..' Dushyant said and made Dhruv sit in the car.

'Chup chap yahi baite raho..' Dushyant warned Dhruv.

Purvi sat and she looked in the direction from where Dushyant and Dhruv left. Purvi turned towards Kavin and she just said Dhruv... He was reminded of their kiss, which made him angry. He held her neck and kissed her passionately and broke the kiss after sometime.

'Purvi tumhe meri kasam, ab bol do jo bhi chupa rahi ho sab kuch bata do.. Nahi toh mai tumhari kasam kha ke kehta hu ki mai Dhruv ko kahi ka nahi chodunga..' Kavin looked at her with a serious face.

He waited for her to answer but she kept quite. His patience ended and he went outside with her and took her to their house. He left for bureau. She sat on the bed.

Dushyant came along with Dhruv and kept him inside interrogation room. The team looked at him, Dushyant whispered to the team what they saw and how Kavin wanted to know the truth from Purvi. Kavin came inside.

'Purvi ne sach chupane ka faisla liya, ab Dhruv ko mai nahi chodunga..' Kavin glared Dhruv through the window.

'Dhruv, tumhe mai aakhri mauka de raha hu, sach batao, nahi toh Purvi ki kasam, kahi ke nahi rahoge..' Kavin said, Dhruv also stood silent.

'Itna mushkil hai kya sach batana ?' Kavin kept his hands on the table bending a bit.

Before Dhruv can answer, a phone call disturbed them. Dushyant answered the call putting it on the speaker.

'CID ke bahadur cops, sun lo dhyaan se.. Yeh kya naam hai us ladki kya..? (Purvi boss)... Ha Purvi, Pradyuman ki beti, Abhijeet, Daya ki behen jaisi hai aur toh aur ek aur CID cop ki biwi bhi hai.. Lekin afsoos, usko humne kidnap kar liya hai, bilkul bejaan si hai.. 24 ghante hai aapke paas, dhundh sakte ho toh dhundh lo..' The phone call got cut.

Kavin quickly left to his house only to see that Purvi really got kidnapped. His mother was injured as someone attacked her. His whole house is a mess, no signs of his wife. His neighbours said that she was kidnapped by some goons who wore masks and they took Purvi in a white van which didn't have any no. plate.

After searching for almost 20 hours, they finally got the location of Purvi. The team reached there and got into a fight with the goons. Raj saw Purvi and he went near her and untied her.

'Chalo mere saath..' Raj guided her, the team also ended their fight with the goons. Someone was about to shoot Purvi but Raj covered her and he took the bullet.

'Nakul Bhaiyya...' Purvi shouted and held him. Raj looked at her, her tears were proof that she was aware of his identity. He fell unconscious due to blood loss. The team came there and took him to the hospital. The main villain escaped.

Pankaj and Mayur were in the bureau and they had a conversation about Raj taking the bullet for Purvi. Dhruv heard and was shocked.

'Pankaj... Kavin ko bulao..' Dhruv looked at him.

'Sir hospital mei hai, abhi nahi aa sakte..' Pankaj said.

'Purvi ka sach jaan ne bhi nahi ?' Dhruv looked at him. Pankaj called Kavin.

'Hello Kavin sir.. Dh--Dhruv Purvi mam ka sach bolna chahta hai aur vo aapko bureau bula raha hai..' Pankaj said.

'Aa raha hu..' Kavin said and left. Dushyant saw this and he followed him.

'Kya batana hai..?' Kavin looked at Dhruv.

'Bait jao, bahut kuch batana hai..' Dhruv looked at him. Kavin sat while Dushyant was hearing everything from outside. Dhruv looked at Kavin and started the narration.
