CHAPTER 21

Kavin halted near his car and he came back to the room where she was lying on the bed a few moments ago. He was surprised to see that she wasn't there and he saw that the director was also missing.

'Abhi toh dono yahi the, achanak kaha chale gaye dono..?' He thought and went to her desk but saw no one was there. He returned to the parking lot and called Dushyant.

'Dushyant jaldi se jaldi pata lagao ki Mr. Avinash Kapoor kaha hai..'

'Vo hospital mei honge na.. Aur tum chai pine ke baad kaha chale gaye..?'

'Jo kaha pehle vo karo..'

'Ok ok chill... Gussa kyu kar rahe ho..'

Dushyant was about to tell his location when the phone got cut and Kavin fell down unconscious as someone attacked him from behind. Dushyant called him again but his phone was switched off. The team reached the hospital but didn't see Kavin, Purvi or Director anywhere. They just found Kavin's car which confirmed that Kavin came there.

'Batao Kavin kaha hai..? Aur Dr. Purvi aur Director Avinash Kapoor kaha hai..?' Abhijeet questioned the staff.

'Sir, director ke baare mei pata hai but yeh Dr. Purvi kaun hai..?' One of the staff asked while the other one looked at her.

'Dr. Purvi kaun hai..? Vahi jo aap logon ke saath kaam karti hai yaha..'

'Nahi sir, yaha koi Dr. Purvi kaam nahi karti hai..'

'Kya bakwaas kar rahi hai aap..? Yeh hai Dr. Purvi...' Raj showed Purvi's picture.

'Yeh..? Yeh doctor nahi hai sir, yeh toh yaha ki patient hai..' The nurse said.

'Patient..?'

'Ji sir.. Avinash sir iska ilaaz kar rahe the pichle 8 saalon se.. Sir ne humse kaha ki she is mentally ill aur unhe doctor ka coat pehen ne do but never allow her to do any operation..'

The cops just looked at each other and went out.

'Yeh kaise possible hai sir..? Pari... Nahi nahi zaroor koi galatfehmi hua hume.. Vo mentally ill nahi hai, hum sab ne use dekha tha and she is fine...' Raj said.

'Calm down Raj.. Hum koi na koi raasta nikaal lenge teeno tak paunch ne ki..' Abhijeet said.

On the other hand, Kavin opened his eyes and saw Purvi in his arms but his hands were tied so he couldn't hug her back.

'Purvi... Purvi aankhein kholo..'

She opened her eyes but before she could say something, someone grabbed her hair from behind and made her stand. She cried in pain.

'Director Avinash...? Chodo use..'

'Chod du..? Le chod diya..' He pushed her and she fell on the ground.

'AVINASH..' Kavin yelled.

Purvi looked at Avinash who was about to inject her, she tried to stand up but couldn't. Kavin kicked a tin and stopped Avinash while Purvi somehow came near Kavin and he hid her in his arms.

'Baad mei dekh lunga tum dono ko..' Avinash left.

Purvi was weak, she was feeling cold and she hugged him. Avinash left them in a cold storage room reducing the temperature thus frozing them to death. Kavin couldn't see her in that condition, so he forced the chains to break and his hands started bleeding. She looked at him and hold his hand trying to stop the blood.

'Purvi, bas yahi ruko.. Mai dekhta hu ki yaha se bahar jaane ka koi raasta hai ya nahi..' Kavin kept his jacket on her and he turned to leave but she called his name.

'Kavin.. Yaha se bahar jaane ka ek hi raasta hai..'

He sat beside her and hugged her to keep her warm.

'Kyu kiya tumne aisa jaan..? Hamara dhyaan kyu bhatkaya..? Hum Avinash tak pahunch jaate agar tumne Karan ka jhoota murder ka case ka natak nahi kiya hota toh..' Kavin said looking at her.

'Nahi Kavin.. Yeh sach hai.. Yeh sach hai ki Karan zin--zinda hai magar...'

'Magar kya..?'

'Vo natak nahi tha.. Sach mei kisi ka jaan le liya gaya.. Farak bas itna hai ki.. Karan mara nahi balki uski jagah koi aur....' Her condition was getting worse.

The door got opened and Avinash came. Kavin was about to fight with him when Avinash showed him a small bottle.

'Vahi ruk jao Kavin.. Yeh Purvi ka antidote hai aur ha last antidote.. Mujhse ladne ka iraada mat rakho.. Maine apna faisla badla hai.. Mai chahta hu ki Purvi jiye...'

'Mai tum par bharosa nahi karunga..' Kavin was shocked to the core when Purvi woke up from his arms, stood up and went near Avinash.

'Purvi nahi..' Kavin was about to hold her when someone hit him from behind and he fell unconscious.

'Kavin..' Purvi couldn't bear her condition, her eyesight became blur and she was about to fall when someone held her.

After sometime Kavin opened his eyes and saw that he was in hospital. He held his head and sat on the bed. Abhijeet came near him.

'Are you ok..?'

'Sir..? Mai yaha kaise aaya..?'

'Tum hume ek band ice factory mei behoshi ki halat mei mile aur hum tumhe yaha le aaye..'

'Avinash baar baar us factory mei jaata tha, hum vaha pahunche toh tum vaha behosh the Kavin..' Priya spoke.

'Kavin kya hua..? Pari kaha hai..?' Raj questioned.

Kavin told him that he understood that Purvi distracted them through Karan's murder so he wanted to talk with her and he reached her hospital only to see her on the bed and Avinash giving her some injection. He thought Avinash was taking care of her but when he came back, he saw that both went missing, so he called his team and before he could say someone hit him and he became unconscious.

'Mai galat tha.. Purvi ne kaha ki vo koi aur tha jo Karan ke jagah pe mara..' Kavin informed the team.

'Kavin tum rest karo.. Hum Purvi ka pata lagayenge..' Daya said.

'Nahi sir.. Us Avinash ne Purvi ko kuch injection kiya.. Uska tabiyat kharab hai.. Mujhe use jald se jald dhundhna hoga..' Kavin said.

'Kavin hum sab milke use dhudhenge.. You just relax.. Jaise hi hume Purvi ka koi location pata chalega, we will inform you..' Abhijeet said.

'Nahi sir.. Yeh rest karne ka time nahi hai.. Aur vaise bhi mujhe neend nahi aayega.. Ek baar Purvi mil jaaye uske baad mai rest karunga..' Kavin said. The team knew they can't control Kavin, so they allowed Kavin to be with them but on a condition that he wouldn't stress himself to make others worry. He agreed.

After searching for a long time, they reached a deserted area. He got down and saw a lady whose picture was on the wall (the board where Kavi's pictures were there). He pointed a gun at her while Purvi came in between the gun and the lady. Also Kavin have enough proof that the lady tried to kill Purvi.

'Purvi hatt jao, yeh ladki... Yeh ek criminal hai jisne tumhari jaan lene ki koshish kiya.. Jisne pure seher mei drugs ka karobar chalaya..' Kavin said.

'Uspe goli chalane se pehle.. Aapko mujhse guzarna hoga..' Purvi's statement shocked everyone and Kavin was at his wit's end.

'Purvi tum bahut achche se jaanti ho ki mai apna farz nibhane se kabhi nahi chukta... Mera inspiration ACP sir hai.. Hatt jao mere raaste se.. Mujhe is tarah tum par goli chalane pe majbur mat karo jaan..' Kavin said, pulled her aside and shot at the lady but Purvi came in between and the bullet hit Purvi.
