Cayson's POV

"You are my sunshine my only sunshine. You make me happy when skies are gray. You never know dear how much I love you. Please don't take my sunshine away."

"Sing it again mommy! Please!" I miss those days. "You Are My Sunshine" was my mom and I's special song. I miss her soo much but now I have a new sister to play with and keep my mind off of what happened. I turn over in my bed. It's too early to be awake so I go back to sleep.

Carly's POV

5:32 am

I grabbed my water bottle and headed out the door. I decided to go for a morning run since I couldn't fall back to sleep. We live in a gated community. The area all around is forest like. The sun was barley up, but I ran and didn't stop. I began to think about my father. I love him so much and if he's still alive then there's hope right?

Two hours pass by and "Holding On" by Jamie Grace plays through my headphones. I stop and bend over, putting my hands on my knees, trying to catch my breath. I look up at the sky and that's when my tears began to spill over. I keep running but stop when I feel a presence next to me. No way.

Alexander's POV

Carly? Yes, it is her! Adam called me over to his house early this morning to catch up on some work. He finally let me go home and when I walked outside, there she was, jogging. I have to talk to her. I come up next to her and start running along her side. She stops and looks at me.

"What are you doing?" she asked

"I'm jogging." I stated simply.

"In a suit, tie, and dress shoes?"

"Uh yeah. You got a problem with that?" she stared at me with a mean look on her face.

"Look, I'm sorry that I said whatever I did to make you upset like that.  I really didn't intend on hurting you. You're really beautiful and I would like to take you out sometime."

Carly's POV

"I would like to take you out sometime," he said. I thought about it for a while. I mean sure, I may have overreacted a little and besides, who can say no to that face?

"Okay."

"Great."

I turned around and started to run again.

"Wait."

"What?"

"I didn't get your number darling."

"You're Alexander Cipriani. I'm pretty sure getting my number won't be a hard thing for you to do."

"Your right. It's not," he smirked and walked away.

I got back home around 9:00. I walked into the kitchen and saw Caitlyn standing at the stove cooking.

"Hay what are you doing?"

"I made you and everyone else breakfast." I watched as she flipped the eggs easily. She slid me a plate and the food looked extremely good.

"Your four. How do you even know how to turn a stove on?"

"Well, sometimes Auntie Karoline and Uncle Jeff didn't feed me so I learned how to cook for myself." Her eyes watered a bit and her words pierced right through my heart.
