Forgive Me

Carly's POV

I didn't want to talk to anyone, be around anyone, or look at anyone. Hearing my sister scream like that and looking at the terrified expression on my brothers face internally damaged me.

So I sat there. I brought my legs up to my chin and wrapped my arms around them while staring out of the window. My body began to shake and I said a silent prayer to the heavens that I wouldn't have a panic attack. Everyone else is sleep (well besides Alex and the driver) and I don't know who else could calm me down.

The back of the van is just an open space with no chairs. The only chairs that are in here are the two in the front. Alex was sitting in the passenger's seat and when my breathing became heavier, he turned around and looked at me.

When the shaking became almost too unbearable, he came to the back of the van and I tried to put as much distance between us as possible. Despite my attempt, he came to me and picked me up, placing me on his lap.

"No-n-

"Shh." He wrapped his arms around my body and my heart rate began to slow down. Eventually the shaking stopped and I fell asleep in his arms.

"Everyone up now! You have to be swift, quick, watchful, and quiet. The light on your side is now red but it will turn green when they are both found. Everyone is to head back to the van when this happens."

Alex's loud voice took me out of my peaceful sleep. When I looked around, I saw that I was wrapped in covers while everyone else was exiting the van. I quickly got up and followed Alex. He hid behind a bush and I watched as he took out the cameras and disarmed the security system. I peeked over his shoulder to get a better view.

When he was done, he gave the signal to everyone telling them to move forward. I could hear grunting and fighting as our men took out Theodore's.

Alex wasn't exaggerating when he said be "quick." I struggled to keep up with him and my shoes wasn't helping.

"Alex slow down!"

"No Carly. You have to keep up." I sighed in frustration and kept running.

We finally made it inside of the house and it was huge! Alex and I were assigned to the North Wing so that's where we went. I tried my best to keep quiet but my heels clinked on the hardwood floor. Alex stopped dead in his tracks, turned around, and gave me one of his "are you kidding" looks.

"Take them off."

"What?"

"Take your shoes off now Carly!"

"No way. These are designer and I refuse to leave them here."

"Carly you are slowing us down and-

Alex was cut off by the people behind us. Strong arms gripped our arms. He tried to fight back but they held us in a death grip. We were placed in a dark room that only had one dim light hanging from the ceiling.

There were two chairs that were facing each other and we were tied to them. The two guys left to go get Theodore and I held my head down in shame. After about 5 minutes, Alex hasn't even glanced my way.

I feel really bad for getting us caught but if we are going to die in here together, I at least want to apologize.

"Alex I'm s-

He closed his eyes and shook his head indicating that he didn't want my apology. I sighed deeply and looked down. The light on my side was still red which means that Cay and Caitlyn haven't been found yet.

My mind goes back to last night when Alex held me and helped me calm down. If he doesn't want an apology, maybe I can give him a Thank you.

"Alex."

"Carly."

"Thanks for last night." He nodded his head ever so slightly that I almost missed it.

10 more minutes pass and I start to get worried.

"Hey Carly?"

"Hmm?"

"I'm sorry. For everything. I'm sorry that I acted like a pathetic, lousy, self-centered, phony, worthless bastard."

"You remembered every word?"

"I did."

We both laughed aloud and then he continued.

I haven't been treating you the way I promised and God do I feel stupid. My world is centered around you Carly. Your smile is what makes me smile. Your happiness is my happiness. Your laugh, my laugh. Your hurt my hurt and your pain is mine as well. 20 minutes ago when you tried to apologize to me, I didn't stop you because I didn't want to hear it, I stopped you because I knew that you needed my apology more than I needed yours. Please forgive me. I'm in love with you Carly Accardi. And I hope that you still feel the same."

I stared deeply at Alexander and through the dim light I could see a tear trickle down his cheek. I scooted my chair closer to his and rested my head on his shoulder.

"I do Alex. I do.

He opened his mouth to say something but was cut off by the sounds of the two men coming back in.

"No, no, no. You belong over here darling." The guy had a thick country accent. He picked up my chair and placed it back where it was.

The other guy picked up a bat that was on the wall and he hit Alex in the arm with it. I heard crackling sounds along with Alex's screams of agony.

"Nooo stop!!!" I yelled.

"No stop don't hurt my lover." They mocked me.

"Boohoo! You see. Every fairy tail has a happy ending darlin' but this is reality. You see, your daddy dearest killed Theodore just now and we don't like that."

"We surely don't."

"He's still running around here somewhere. But don't worry we'll catch him. But for now we get the grand opportunity to torture his beloved daughter.

"Do not touch her."

"Shut up!" The guy spit somewhere near Alex and then picked the bat back up. I closed my eyes waiting for the hit but... It never came.

I opened my eyes to see Cameron and Logan standing at the door. I smiled gratefully while they helped to untie us.

"Took you long enough."

"Whatever Alex. We came." Cam punched Alex playfully in his bad arm and he screamed.

"Ooo my bad bro. You ight?" We all laughed (all except for Alex) and that's when Cam's walkie talkie thing went off.

"This is Samuel reporting from the West Wing. I have the children and we are on our way out the door. Everyone go to the vans now!"

I looked down and our  lights turned green. We all headed to the door and were close to getting out but I stopped. When they took Alex and I, they ended up taking off my shoes anyway.

"Wait!"

"What?"

" I forgot something." I ran back to the spot where Alex and I were taken. I grabbed my boots and caught back up with them.

"Are you serious?"

"Yes I am."

Cam's walkie talkie thing went off again.

"This is Ilene reporting from Van #2. Audrey is having contractions and she thinks that she is going into labor. Hurry up and get back here before she hurts me!"

We stopped for a brief second. I looked to Cam and his eyes rolled to the back of his head like he was going to...faint!

"Cameron don't you-

He fell to the ground with a "thump."

End of chapter 18 loves!!!

Awwwwww Alex said some beautiful things to Carly. I got emotional right there lol. Things are about to get even more happier now that Cay and Caitlyn are back.
