The Day I Say Goodbye

I was finally leaving Sadida after all this time. I'm not leaving of my own will; I'm leaving because I'm being forced to. But I have a plan: if I can get them to kick me out, then I can come back home, and it wouldn't be my fault; it would be theirs, and Father wouldn't have a reason to put me on community service duty. Good plan, although I still don't know who I'm going with. If it's just Yugo, it might be fairly hard; he seems too nice, so chances of him kicking me out are low. But if I annoy him enough or if I do something that can really get him angry, there's no chance in hell he'll want me on the team. I started packing a haven bag full of things that I would need on the adventure that hopefully won't last too long. "Hey Naeytri, you've seen the outside world, right? What's it like?" I asked as I continued to pack my things, 'It's big,' it said as it lay on my bed. I looked at it and paused. "Just big?" 'Well, to be fair, I don't remember much up until I met you,' I sighed, shaking my head and continuing to pack. A knock rang at my door before it opened. "Hey, Y/n how's packing going?" Armand said as he stood cautiously at the door. I was still mad since he didn't advocate for me. "Just fine, traitor," " he chuckled and walked towards me. "We're starting with insults already?" "If I were trying to call you names, I would call you shit breath cause it smells like shit!" I aggressively pack my stuff now before calming down. "Sorry, I'm just... I really don't want to go." I stopped packing as I held my sides. "I feel like something bad is gonna happen if I go." Armand came and rubbed my shoulders. "Listen, you don't know what's gonna happen until you do it. You're just paranoid, bud". I smiled at the nickname, remembering how my mother gave it to me before she passed. She said I'm like an unsprouted flower bud, and I just need something to make me bloom. His words almost helped, but I couldn't help but feel the swirling sense of dread creep around inside of me. "Just test it out and see how you feel. If you don't feel comfortable, you're welcome to come back. I'll take the blame for it." I looked at Armand before sighing, "Ok, I'll try." I was not going to try. "Great, now let's go; your journey awaits." I grabbed my haven bag before retreating out of the room with Armand Naeytri following in the shadows. We finally arrived where a lot of people were gathered to say goodbye. They parted for me and Armand as we made our way to the middle, where my father, Amalia, the weird hat boy, who I forgot the name of, and a few other companions were. One of which I recognize, which is Evangeline. Oh, this is going to be really hard, I thought as we finally made our way into the center. "You never told me Evangline was on the team?" I whispered to Armand as I put on a fake smile. Only to see him with a dumb smile on his own face while looking at her. "You look creepy." I glared at him and said, "Uh, what *ahem*, uh, yeah, Eva is a part of the brotherhood." Next to her were two other people. One was an old man, and another was a young fellow whose hair looks like a carrot, and he has no nose. Weird. Anyway, I walk to stand near my father, sizing up my new "teammates," Portaboy, who was talking to Amalia, turning towards me and waving. "Hey, it's good to see you again." My face fell from the smile I never actually had. "Uh, yeah, totally." His smile also fell. "Let's help each other out and have a good journey." "Stop trying; it's not working." "Yeah, I got that." He sighed before turning over to Mr. Carrot. Amaila, with her big attitude, huffed at me before turning to Papa, giving him a look. Papa shook his head. Pause. What the fuck was that? You know what? Never mind. "Papa, you're not actually serious about letting me go, right? I mean, I could die from pneumonia, sepsis, scurvy." "Y/n, you are going, end of discussion." Damn, you'd think with his old brain he would forget. He had us group up as we waved goodbye; that's when I noticed something: Amalia wasn't there... Eh, I didn't want to see her face as I left anyway. Eva was given a haven bag before she left as we went through the portal.

AHHHHHHHHHH! Oh, I'm fine; for some reason, I thought I was going to be falling or something. "This place looks gross," I said, watching my step, stopping next to Eva. Portaboy looked sad for some reason; shoot, I am too; this place is horrible. "It's not going to be the same without Amalia here." Oh, meh, I could honestly do without her. Eva's haven bag starts moving. "Oh hell no." I back up, making sure to still watch my step. An arm pops out, and then another arm, and then—wow, I really jinxed myself. Out pops Amalia Sharam Sharm in all her I'm back glory. Everybody seemed shocked for a bit before Portaboy ran up and hugged her. Actually, this isn't a bad thing. Amalia is easy to anger, therefore an easier target to get me kicked out. I smiled evilly before stopping when I realized Mr. Carrot was staring at me. "Uh, hey guys, who's that?" Looking around, I was wondering who he was talking about before realizing that everyone was looking at me. Oh, I totally forgot that I never introduced myself. "I'm—" "This is Y/N; she's my younger sister and also the second princess of Sadida." I slowly turn towards her in shock. "How dare you steal my—" "She was forced to come here and won't cause any trouble." She cut me off again, now thinking I don't really care. "Another princess?! I am Sir Percidal of Sadlygrove at your service." He did a really weird grand gesture. "Your name's way too long," Eva sighs. "You can call him Dally." "Why? Because he's dumb." "Y/N!" Amalia yelled. I made a shocked face as I was genuinely asking, "What? I'm being serious. Okay, listen, I'm sorry, you just don't look like the brightest—" Amalia slammed her hand over my mouth. Dally seemed sad as a deep voice chuckled and laughed at Dally's face, then humorously morphed as he grew angry and started slamming a dagger into a rock. Oddly enough, the sword was actually making noises of pain; it must be a shushu. I was watching the spectacle as the old man that I forgot was there finally spoke, "I am Ruel Stroud." I tried to speak, but Amalia was still covering my mouth. So, I just waved, "Well, now that introductions are out of the way, let's go." Portaboy said as everyone followed behind him. I looked over into the shadows as I saw Naeytri slither through the darkness. I have a feeling I'm not going to be home for a while, but here's hoping the plan works.

It did in fact take me a lot longer than I expected to finish chapter 4, but it is finally done. Hopefully there is no delay in chapter 5, but I noticed I kind of messed up the season pattern thinking that all this happened in season 2 but in truth it happened in season 1 so bare with me as I try to steer this story in the right direction.
