Here I am starting this story again. Yayyy!!! Even if you have read the chapters before, please reread them because I am changing a lot. I won't take long to update since I have been working on this story for a while now. I have a lot of chapters done; I just need to edit them.
-----------------------------
16 years—16 years of not knowing about him, 16 years of missing him, 16 years of misery—she thinks as she stands on her bedroom balcony, looking at the sun starting to shine on the city she has been living in for the past 100 years while she gently caresses her Ruby ring, which makes her vampire curse not real.
"Sanem!" she hears and looks down, coming across the house's backyard and seeing the one person aside from her sister Leila, who keeps her going and who she will protect with her life if necessary: John.
"Look." The young boy smiles as he backs up towards the house, getting closer and closer to a door as the sun reaches him.
"What are you doing?" she yells, knowing he still doesn't have a ring. Get inside." He laughs, and once he has no more shade, he blurs into the house and knocks on Sanem's door two seconds later, knowing that Sanem will go after him, so he rather go to her and explain things.
"Why would you do that?" Sanem asks him as he is standing by her bedroom door, and she blurs at him and hugs him as if she just saw his life be taken away and is happy he is still alive.
"Yes, I love you too," he says, feeling the hard squizz as she barely catches her breath.
"John," she said, separating the hug and trying to control the hurricane of emotions she was feeling inside.
"I know, I know." He sighed. "I just wanted to know how it feels."
She cupped his face. "You will know that feeling soon," she gently smiled. "So don't worry, my boy," she said, hugging him again and kissing his forehead.
They let go of the hug, and he smiled at her, "What?" She asks
He looks at her with pure eyes, "That, I know you are my sister, but I can't comprehend this feeling." He smiles, and she just looks at him, waiting for him to continue. "You raised me. You taught me everything. And I love it when you call me your boy." He was soft. "I don't have that feeling with Annem (mom) or Leila. The few times Leila has tried to call me 'her boy,' I don't like it." She exhales, "And annem," He looks down at the floor in shame. "I just don't have the same connection."
She brings his eyes back to hers, seeing his pure yellow eyes. "Don't feel bad. Leila left a few years ago, and annem (mom), well, she's annem (mom)." Sanem explains, trying her hardest not to tell him the truth.
"That's why I think I am more attached to you. Since I can remember, you and I have always been like this," Sanem just looks at him with loving eyes. "I love you, Sanem; thank you for being my sister." And he hugs her. "You have always been there for me, more than annem (mom) and Baba (dad). Actually, you and Leila have always been there for me. I feel as I both of you are my parents rather than my actual parents." He was sad at his last words.
But, even though it was hard, those words warmed Sanem's heart.
"But unfortunately, we don't use our parents, do we?"
"No, we don't." He says sadly.
She places another kiss on his cheek. "Go and get some rest; I know you have been up all night." And the soon-to-be 16-year-old boy smiles, "And I haven't killed anyone, I promise."
"I know."
"Just stick to animals. That's the most important." He smiled and went to walk away. "Can I ask you something?"
