Now it made sense. It made so much sense. I don't know how didn't even think about it, Emma and i were literally just talking about it before i went back into Sterlings room.

I had to clear my head when i went out on the stage.

Eventually it was time for Skylar to come on and i was feeling anxious about it.

Sterling probably had about a million photos of me looking at the camera, because i was just looking at her. Trying to speak the my eyes, i doubt it was working.

The whole duet consisted of me singing while interacting with fans and my band members, not Skylar.

I knew i wouldn't be questioned with it by Emma since she told me to make it clear i was uninterested in her.

After Skylar left and got her applause i went over to the guys and told them we were doing the song we rehearsed. The song i wrote for Sterling, except i wrote an alternate version, a third one with real experiences we've had in the past few months.

I wrote it after our fight the first didn't feel authentic enough. It was thankfully to the same melody.

I went to the mic to announce it.

"Hey guys so i have an extra special treat for tonight, an extra unreleased song." i spoke as everyone in the crowd cheered.

I looked at sterling who had a slight shake in her head. She knew, but that stubborn gorgeous girl didn't know anything about the real situation.

"This song is a song i wrote about my incredible girlfriend who has me completely captivated" i heard awws and cheers.

"Sterling Belmore, i love you this one goes to you and only you" i smiled as i queued the guys to start.

I sat on the edge of the stage and grabbed her hand which she couldn't reject due to the crowd as i sang it to her. She kept her camera down as she listened and smiled, a real smile not a fake one.

For a moment, just a small moment she wasn't mad at me anymore. I took it as a glimpse of hope.

After i finished i hopped down from the stage and i pressed my lips onto hers and she kissed me back. We kissed for a couple of seconds before pulling away as the applause was still going i leaned over and whispered in her ear.

"You have the situation so wrong and i'll prove all of it tonight i promise. I love you, i meant it" i said lowly as people still cheered.

She gave me a nod in response to show me she heard what i said.

After i finished set i saw Sterling heading back to the bus and i followed a bit behind her.

Once she got into her room and closed the door i opened it after her and walked in.

"Don't say anything just let me explain. Skylar and i never had anything. We never dated, never kissed, nothing like that. A fan caught one picture that looked like we were kissing because of the angle as we walked off stage my head was turned and she was saying to me, the lights were off and it was dark. People turned the brightness up and it looked like we gave each other a peck. It was one stupid picture that was blown out of context. Later Bella confirmed it because she was so mad at me for breaking up with her because of Emma and the band, but in all honesty she was very toxic. She verbally abused me and told me if we broke up she would ruin my career so she saw that picture and took her opportunity by confirming it. Emma never let me correct it by telling the media i didn't because it 'put more attention on our band' and 'got more streams on our songs' which is really stupid i know and i'm sorry i should've told you. It never even crossed my mind, but it should've. Sterling i love you. I fell in love with you so quickly. You're strong, talented, so talented, so smart, funny, sarcastic, a little too headstrong at times but it's very endearing, and so goddamn gorgeous. I'm so sorry anything i can do i will just please please believe me." I rambled and probably talked way too fast because she was just frozen in place as she was seated on her bed.
