Taking Flight

I opened my eyes to see everyone gathered around looking at something. I was inside one of the healing pods and man I did not feel good. I looked down to see I was in some suit, but my wound was gone. Thanks Alteans for your magical technology. The screen on the pod dropped and I stepped out. However, due to my legs feeling like jello I fell straight on my face. 

"Teagan!" I heard Pidge exclaim. He came over and helped me up I gave him a lazy smile. Hunk was also holding up Lance who was in the same outfit I was in.

"Hey everyone, how's it going?" I slurred, why did I sound drunk? They all laughed at me and I couldn't help but laugh with them. Pidge escorted me to my room so I could change and then get food. Eventually we all got settled in the dining room, Lance sitting at the head of the table and me sitting on his left with everyone else crowded around us filling us in on what we had missed. Coran and Hunk had been set out to find a new crystal, Allura and Keith were trapped outside the Castle but somehow Allura was able to speak to the mice telepathically on how to fix a some wiring or something. While Pidge was able to stop Sendak from taking the Castle and us with him.

"You three would've been Sendak's prisoners now, if it wasn't for Pidge." Allura told Lance and I referring to him, Shiro, and I. I nodded and sent a smile towards Pidge. If it wasn't for him Sendak would have been able to leave. 

"Well, you two wouldn't have survived the explosion if it Hunk and Coran had gotten a new crystal." Pidge deflected the attention to the duo. 

"Thank you, you guys." I smiled at everyone, but Shiro gave me a worried look. I bet I was in for it for the stunt I pulled. I looked back down at my goo feeling bad. I didn't even do that much to stop Sendak to; it could've been a wasted effort that got me killed.

"Wow. Thanks, everybody. Sounds like the mice did more than you though." Lance teased Keith. I smiled, what reason did Lance have to bring attention to Keith?

"I punched Sendak!" Keith countered. Lance had clearly gotten under his skin, seems to do that real easily. 

"Yeah, apparently after I emerged from a coma and shot his arm off." Lane boasted.

"We had a bonding moment. I cradled you in my arms!" I almost spit out my food. Bonding moment? Cradling in each other's arms? Old married couple like arguing? Oh yes, these two are just waiting to happen. Lance crossed his arms and began shaking his head.

"Nope. Don't remember, didn't happen." Lance denied.

"Aww, don't remember or too embarrassed?" I teased Lance. He glared at me but I can see him blushing!

"So, what happened to Sendak?" Lance changed the subject. 

"He's frozen in a cryo-pod. We're keeping him here in the Castle." Allura explained.

"Are you sure that's a good idea?" Lance questioned.

"He's too dangerous to be set free. Besides, we might be able to get some information about Zarkon from him." She reasoned. I raised my brow, how would we do that? I don't think Sendak would willingly give out information, even if he was tortured. Which I was not okay with. 

"So, what's the plan now?" Lance asked I nodded in agreed curiosity. 

"We have to get back to the Balmera and save Shay and her people." Hunk stated. Shay was an alien who helped him and Coran escape but got caught in the process. I can tell Hunk feels responsible and also just wants to help. 

"Wow! You are really hung up on this lady." I smacked Lance's arm, even if Hunk did take some liking to her that wasn't what his reason for helping them is.
