[Up in the palace, Gorillas tore off banners, tempting the throne room with anything left by Shen's parents. Once the banners were down, the two moved to the shadows, pushing the cannon toward the middle of the room, stopping when they reached the throne. Shen walked up the steps, looking up at the throne as memories flashed through his mind.]
Lord Shen: My father's throne... he used to let me play here beside him, promising someday that this throne would be mine...
[The throne is tossed out of a window seconds later. Its shattering wood echoed from below. Once it was thrown, the two gorillas moved the cannon in its place.]
Lord Shen: [Motion with his wing] A little to the left.
Gorilla: Uh, but it's so heavy, master.
Lord Shen: [Stepped forward, his talons clicking gently on the floor] Thirty years I've waited for this moment. Everything must be exactly how I envisioned it... and I envisioned it a little to the left.
[The gorillas moved the cannon in said direction.]
Lord Shen: Perfect. With the weapon by my s... ah [Stopped a moment and motioned to his left again] a little more. [The gorillas adjust the cannon again] With the weapon by my side... all of China will bow before me. We move out in three days, when the moon is full, and the tide is high.
[Shen chuckles, steps, and then turns to the Soothsayer, who is sitting among her divination objects in a corner of the room.]
Lord Shen: Now, you old goat, why don't you tell me my-
Soothsayer: Fortune?
Lord Shen: F-future. I was going to say future. Look into your bowl, and tell me what glory awaits.
[Soothsayer looks into a small bowl.]
Soothsayer: If you continue on your current path... [Her eyes rolled upwards as she took a deep breath through her muzzle. Shen slowly walks down the small steps in the middle of the room, intrigued.] You will find yourself... at the bottom of the stairs.
[Shen stopped and tensed, seeing he had stopped at the bottom of the steps. He exclaims in annoyance before approaching the Soothsayer, who again looks into her bowl.]
Soothsayer: I see... I see... I see pain... [Plucks a feather from Shen's wing as he is close enough.]
Lord Shen: Ow!
Soothsayer: And anger... [Takes a bite out of Shen's robe as he rips it away.]
Lord Shen: How dare you! That is the finest silk in the province!
Soothsayer: Followed by denial...
Lord Shen: This is not fortune-telling! You're just saying what's happening right-
Soothsayer: Now?
[Shen sighs in exasperation. Soothsayer puts the feather and piece of silk into the bowl.]
Soothsayer: The most important time is now. But if you really want to see the future...
[Glowing blue-white smoke suddenly erupts from the bowl. Shen watches in awe as the smoke rises into the air.]
Lord Shen: Oh, what do you see?
[The smoke forms into a peacock.]
Soothsayer: A peacock...
[Suddenly the smoke peacock disappeared and two flaming circles of black and white and blue spiraled in its place.]
Soothsayer: ...Is defeated by a warrior of black and white, and a warrior of blue. [Shock overcame one of the gorillas, backing up] Nothing has changed.
[Shocked and enraged that nothing changed, Shen let a long blade drop and threw it at the bowl, breaking it to pieces as he used his tail to disperse the smoke. But instead of lashing out at the woman, Shen chuckled as the Soothsayer looked up.]
Lord Shen: That's impossible.. and you know it.
Soothsayer: It is not impossible... and he knows it.
Lord Shen: Who?
[At that moment, Shen snapped his head and front towards the stairway as panting could be heard getting stronger. Coming into view, Boss Wolf is seen running up the last stairs and stops in front of Shen, out of breath and panting.]
Boss Wolf: Lord Shen! I saw a panda! And a blue hedgehog!
Lord Shen: A panda and a blue hedgehog!?
[He lunges at Boss Wolf, pinning him to the floor by the neck with his talons.]
Boss Wolf: Two kung fu warriors... they fought like demons! The panda was big and furry... soft and squishy... ugh... kinda plush and cuddly... and the hedgehog was blue and fast... was moving around so quickly in a flash... we almost couldn't see him... like it was all just a... blue blur!
[Shen glares into Boss Wolf's eyes with his eyes burning in anger.]
Lord Shen: [Slowly] There are no more pandas... and no such thing as a blue hedgehog.
Soothsayer: [Stepped forward to Boss Wolf] Even with his poor eyesight, [Taps his scarred eye] he can see the truth. And why... is it that you cannot?
Lord Shen: [Turned to Boss Wolf] Find this panda and this hedgehog, and bring them to me!
[He flings Boss Wolf away.]
Boss Wolf: Yes, sir!
[He retreats down the stairs.]
Lord Shen: [To Soothsayer.] So one panda still lives and a so-called "blue hedgehog" magically comes out of nowhere... [Turned to walk off smirking] That does not make you right.
Soothsayer: [Smugly] You're right... being right makes me right.
Lord Shen: [Stopped next to his weapon] Then I will kill them... and make you wrong!
[Shen hears a chewing sound behind him, looks back, and glares - Soothsayer is eating the hem of his robes again.]
Lord Shen: WILL YOU STOP THAT?! [Yanks the robe out of her mouth]
