Chapter 13- bonding

I walked into the mauri my hands filled with various shells I had found around the beach, I placed on Mo'at's clothing they were very comforting, later last night I had disconnected to my avatar having been in the link unit for 2 days it was bad for my health.

"We don't have any lessons today which is nice..," I thought the waves splashing behind I looked into the mauri seeing Kiri weaving and Ms Sully with Tuk who was getting her hair re-braided I glanced at my braids they were coming undone and getting rusty "Just great another problem," I sighed.

Kiri who was focused on her craft ears twitched her eyes darted to the entrance of the mauri they landed on me her face lit up "Jammie where were you?," she questioned me my bright amber brown eyes glanced to my hands I raised them up showing the various mixes of shells.

Ms Sully's ears twitched and she turned to me this catching the attention of the young cheery Tuk who turned to me she mumbled my name under her breathe "I went out to the cove to collect shells, I kinda wanna make an anklet, Oh! I brought some for everyone," I said my tail swaying my braids dripping a little still wet from the water.

Ms Sully nodded a smile gracing her lips as she turned back her focus to Tuk who seemed excited to choose her own shells from my small collection Kiri beamed patting the area next to her "Come, sit," she said to me.

I pranced over to her settling next to her placing the shells in-front of her and beside Ms Sully, Tuk leaned back into her mother's touch shrieking when her mother braided too hard.

"Here make something," Kiri said happily she handed me what looked seaweed vines I picked them up from her hand looking at them confused "Do I have to learn the way to weave these?!," I recalled the time Mo'at introduced me to weaving I groaned out loud Kiri chuckled hiding her smile "Its just like the technique we use but much looser and more relaxed," Kiri spoke as if she had read my mind she leaned closer to my side showing me how to weave the new material.

Slowly but surely I got the idea of how to do it I smiled thanking Kiri who smiled going back to her work I continued mine "Maybe i'll make some new clothes," i thought Tuk who had finished her hair came to my collection of shells scanning them and picking one up her tail swaying happily as her head turned to me cheerfully.

"I like this one!," Tuk said happily raising a bubbly looking shell it was dark blue and shiny on the outside and the inside filled with multiple colors "Tuk that's a great choice," I said leaning in taking a good look the girl smiled cheerfully going over to Kiri and chattering on about the shell Kiri half listened while continuing her work.

Ms Sully turned to the collection of shell picking a dark blue one with spots the inside being yellow it was sharp and could be used as a weapon "I like this one its.. nice," Ms sully said calmly examining her shell I smiled at her nodding Kiri looked over at the shells picking up a swirled one she placed it in-front of me "This one reminds me of you," I picked up the shell smiling looking back to my collection I picked up a abalone shell placing it in-front of Kiri.

"This one reminds me of you because its unique," the Sully girl took the shell from my hand she smiled looking at it, Tuk crouched up staring at the shell smiling "It is pretty and unique...," Tuk said awe struck i smiled at the little girl's smile my braids cascading my face, Neytiri noticed my braids coming undone "Jammie..," i heard Ms sully say I turned from the girl duo to Ms sully.

"Yes Ms sully?," i said my fingers tapping on Mo'at's necklace her focus laid on my hair for a moment "Would you like to have your hair re-braided?," she said calmly looking from my hair to me "U-um sure but i-i don't want to bother you," I stuttered fidgeting my ears flickering.

"It is alright," she said calmly I was about to decline politely "To be honest I'm scared of Ms sully," I thought she stopped me "Come, sit," Kiri leaned next to me tapping my back I glanced over at her smiled nodding.
