I leaned on the outside wall of the mauri looking on inside I watched Norm, Max, Mr Sully and Ma surround Kiri's unconscious body her breathing shallow and stiff I bit the inside of my lips my tail lowering my ears flattening.

"There's no bleeding," Max said looking up at Jake and Norm, Ma nodded focusing on her tablet "There's no fracture," he continues "No effects of hypoxia," Norm said Ma looked up "Her nervous system is in check too," She looked frustrated Max nodded "The brain looks good," Ma sighed focusing back on Kiri, my eyesight moved from her to Neytiri who was very worried walking back and forth, Tuk sat on near them watching observantly pouting sadly.

I closed my eyes turning from the inside of the mauri looking out to the sunny day, I placed my hand over Mo'at's necklace praying "Ewya please help Kiri.. please," I said under my breath my ears twitched I opened my eyes looking as I saw Neteyam walking over to me his gaze lingering in the mauri.

He leaned on the mauri next to me his gaze on the water "Is Kiri going to be alright?," he turned to me his voice low my tail lowered as I kept my gaze on the horizon "Only Ewya knows... but I know Kiri will be fine she is strong and mighty.," My brown-golden eyes flickered to my locket slowly up to him.

Neteyam's eyes rested on mine he shuffled closer to me his head dropping on my shoulder "It feels like it is my fault," he said his voice mumbled his braids tickled my skin my tail swaying upright a little taken aback my eyes widened I sighed slowly wrapping my hands around his neck "It's what most older siblings would feel...," I said patting his head  "I know that feeling to well,".

"But it's not your fault it was something you couldn't control all we can do now is pray..," Neteyam kept his head down on my shoulder his tail wrapping itself around my leg I didn't notice my thoughts were far, far away.

Neteyam finally looked up as he breathed in deeply my hand dropped from his neck he reached for my hand gently holding it his tail slipping from my leg "Irayo, Jammie," our eyes connected mines fidgeting away "Kea tìkin... Neteyam," I said my tail curling not noticing him rubbing circles on my hand with his thumb.
