Max and Norm got their own mauri for the night with a smaller one next to it being Ma's since their visit was only for a day they would be going back the next morning Ma being worried for my health and a little scared of being in a mauri by herself asked Neytiri and Mr Jake if I could stay with her.
At first they weren't sure but they were persuaded by what Ma calls as her "Charm" I nodded at Neytiri and Mr Jake they gave me a small nod smiling walking out to the side of the mauri as I was about to leave Kiri called to me she seemed to be better.
"Where are you going Jammie?," She asked me standing from her crouching position Tuk, Lo'ak and Neteyam's ears twitched but only the two younger siblings looked.
"Yea bro, are you going out for a swim?," Lo'ak said I turned to them raising a brow "No? Didn't your dad tell you guys?" Kiri looked puzzled Tuk shook her head worriedly and Lo'ak sat confused "It's nothing bad I'm just gonna spend the night with Ma," Neteyam's eyes glanced up to me before going back to his food his tail swaying upright.
"But why?," Kiri said puzzled Lo'ak nodded to her question "Because I haven't seen her in a while and she's a lot like family to me plus she'sa wuss sooo," Lo'ak nodded shrugging, Kiri sighed walking over to me she hugged me "Your like family to me..," I hugged her back stepping back smiling.
She sighed "I know Kiri and I'll be back but if you were in my situation you'd do the same, Oh! and get some rest," I said patting her shoulder she rolled her eyes with a smile I turned feeling someone wrap themselves around my legs, I looked down in surprise.
"Bye Jammie," Tuk said pouting I shook my head with a laugh patting her head "Kìyevame Tuk," Tuk reluctantly let go of my legs I waved at all of them leaving walking on the bouncy path "I'm only staying with Ma for one night.. maybe I'm growing on them," I thought smiling not noticing a presence nearing behind me.
My ears flicked and I turned seeing Neteyam coming a pace behind me his gaze on the path and the water under it he scratched his head looking up at me sheepishly.
His gaze on mine he had something in his hand he held it in-front of me my gaze slowly running up from his hand to his eyes that shined his luminescent freckles lit up as bright as ever "You forgot this.. my spare knife," his eyes fidgeted away from mine I chuckled lightly.
Picking up the knife from his hand he reached out and held my hand gently "Just for.. you know safety," Neteyam said there was a purple aura that surrounded us the village dim it just being after eclipse "Thank you Neteyam, but I'm only staying for the night I'll be back tomorrow," I said chuckling not noticing his blush as he looked to the side the tips of his ears becoming redder.
"You should go back it's cold and you seem to be getting a little redder," I brushed my blue fingers on his ears Neteyam shivered, I placed my hand on his shoulders his hands traveled to my upper arms he looked down at me his bright amber eyes meeting my brown-golden ones.
