The beginning of a new chapter

"Kyaaaa!!!! Our dorm is so big!!" Misturi exclaimed.

"Yeah it is." I smiled.

I didn't smile very often. However, at this moment I had to smile. I was so happy. I had finally made it at Kimetsu college. The place I had dreamed of going to since my first year in high school. And now I was standing in my dorm with my best friend Misturi.

"This is so exciting!!" I yelled.

Mitsuri glanced at me for a second before letting out a small chuckle. I was jumping with joy. It was a rare sight so I don't blame her. I never act like this but today I couldn't contain my excitement. I had to let the world know that I was finally here.

"Wow Shinobu-chan, you must be very excited." Mitsuri said, "In that case, let's jump in joy together!" I said.

We spent a good five minutes jumping and screeching in our new dorm together until we got a few complaints. Just then, someone knocked on the door.

"I'll awnser it!" Mitsuri said before running towards the door.

"Excuse me, we don't monitor dorms much but we have gotten some complaints about you and your roommate so can you please be a bit quiter." A teacher said.

"Oh, I'm so sorry! I won't do this ever again!" Mitsuri cried, her face red with embarrassment.

The teacher left and Mitsuri closed the door.

"I can't believe we're already in trouble...." Mitsuri said, her head was down and she was as pale as a ghost.

I was a bit of a trouble maker so it didn't bother me as much as it bothered Mitsuri. I felt a little bad since I was to blame.

"Now, now. It's ok Mitsuri." I said, patting her head.

I was slowly starting to act like kanae. Bit by bit. When I realised this it only made me sadder. Kanae had been in the hospital for 6 months now. Her illness was only getting worse. She's probably laying in a hospital bed right now while I'm having fun here.

"Is something wrong Shinobu?" Mitsuri asked once she noticed I looked a bit off.

"I miss Kanae." I quietly said.

"Kanae's still here so don't start frowning. How is she gonna sleep at night if you're not happy? Come on Shinobu, think about it!" Mitsuri replied.

Her little pep talk was inspiring. She was right. Kanae probably worries about me and my sisters so the least I could do is show her there is nothing to worry about. I want to let her sleep at night knowing I'm okay so she can focus on herself. I have to study hard and visit Kanae. I'll also visit Kanao and Aoi too. They're probably lonely now that I'm not here too.

"You're right Mitsu-chan! I'm going to work hard and visit my sisters. I'll show Kanae that there's nothing to worry about. And then one day she'll get better and we'll all be happy!" I responded, feeling a bit motivated.

"That's the spirit!" Mitsuri exclaimed.

I then looked around our dorm. We must've been here for atleast twenty minutes and we haven't done anything yet. All of our boxes are closed and every room is empty. I guess we did get a bit distracted but now we actaully have to get to work.

"Let's start packing, the quicker we finish the more time we have to relax." I say.

"Huhhhh......... we haven't started anything yet!" Mitsuri said, she looked like she was about to jump because of how dumbfounded she felt.

I wouldn't be suprised if she didn't since Mitsuri is VERY expressive.

"Yeah, we better get to work." I replied as I pick up a box.

"Ow, this is heavy." I mumbled once I had fully lifted the box.

"Don't worry! I'll come to rescue you!!" Mitsuri exclaimed as she lifted my box along with the box she was holding.

Mitsuri was extremely strong unlike me who was physically weak. She had some sort super strength to say the least. In high school she'd arm wrestle every guy in the class and she wouldn't lose to any of them. Not a single one. Although she did tie with Rengoku-san.

"I'll quickly move all these boxes and you can quickly unpack some. I'll build the furniture and you organsie stuff. With your super speed and my super strength we shall not fail!" Mitsuri said as she placed a few boxes in my bedroom.

"That sounds good." I responded.

I walked inside my bedroom to see what it looked like. I'm suprised I hadn't already done that. I was distracted by the living room and kitchen. The school had already provided me with a single bed which was suprisingly comfy once I sat on it. I decided to build a few shelves and put my clothes in the closet that was also provided to me.

It didn't take much time for me since my body moved fast. It was just like what Mitsuri had said earlier. I had super speed. I could run faster than anyone. Not only that but my muscles moved fast. I guess me and Mitsuri were best friends with weird super powers.

After an hour or more worth of hard work we were finally done. We both dramatically collapsed on the couch. We had finally finished unpacking everything. We both were tired so we just sat there for a few moments before I said something.

"We sure do make a good team." I said.

"Your right!" Mitsuri said, still a bit tired from unpacking.

"You know, we should explore the area. Kanae recommended we should do it so I have to do it." I suggested.

"Let's do it then!" Mitsuri smiled. "We should call Kanae-san after."

"Yeah, I'm just sad we can't visit the hospital everyday after school like we used to." I added.

"I agree, it's so weird not being so close to everyone. I miss our local community." Mitsuri said.

She was right. Our hometown had a nice community. Everyone knew eachother and it was quite a friendly
place. Our neighbours were nice too. It was a lot different compared to the college and town nearby. We were in a city area so the people didn't know eachother that well.

"Your right, I say we should visit our town every weekend." I suggested.

"Yes, that's a great idea!" Mitsuri said.

We then got up and explored the area for a while before calling Kanae and telling her about the exciting first day we had. I had to get used to my new house. It was just like what my mom used to say. It's the beginning of a new chapter.
