a way of thanking you

After Kanae had left, I headed back to my dorm. The parents left too so I assumed Mitsuri was in our dorm. I started walking back. I was really happy since Kanae showed up for parents day. Tomioka-san had also helped me earlier. He also helped me when I was lost on the train and when I ran into those creeps. Now that I think about it, he's been really nice towards me. I need a way to pay him back. A way to thank him.

I continued walking to my dorm, thinking of ways to pay Tomioka-san back. I hoped Mitsuri was at my dorm so I could ask her. She would know what to do. It would've been easier if I knew Tomioka-san. I mean I do know him. Just not as well as I want to. I arrived at my dorm and unlocked the door with my key. I then found Mitsuri at the entrance. I assumed she had just come back too.

"Hey Mitsuri." I said.

"Oh hello Shinobu. Did you have fun? I heard that Kanae came but I didn't see you or Kanae anywhere. I really wanted to say hi." Mitsuri explained.

"I did have fun but you don't have to worry. You can say hi anytime." I responded.

"Is it just me or does it look like your thinking about something?" Mitsuri asked, slightly analysing me.

Was it that obvious that I was thinking about something? Now might be the right time to ask Mitsuri how to pay Tomioka-san back. I mentally figured out how to word my sentence before asking Mitsuri for help.

"I was thinking of a way to thank Tomioka-san. He's helped me a lot. Do you have any suggestions?" I explain.

"You should make him a cake. That's how I thank people." Mitsuri suggested.

"A cake sounds nice but how am I meant to know his preferences when it comes to cake?" I asked. "What if I make a flavour of cake he doesn't like?

"I usually follow whoever I'm making the cake for around to learn about them and see what they like." Mitsuri said.

"That's a bit creepy." I replied.

"It's for important reasons though." She replied.

(They're giving Pinkie pie and twilight sparkle.)

I sighed before replying.

"I guess your right." I said, "It's the only option I have."

"Okay you go follow Tomioka-san around and I'll check on my emergency cake ingredients." Mitsuri responded.

"Emergency cake ingredients. Why do you have those?" I ask.

"Why wouldn't I have those?" Mitsuri asked.

"Anyways, its getting late now. I don't think anyone would be outside their dorms right now so I'll follow him tommorow."

"Great, that gives me time to restock my emergency cake supplies. I need some ingredients for other cake flavours like chocolate and red velvet. I only have the ingredients for a vanilla cake." Mitsuri explained.

"You're crazy sometimes Mitsuri." I replied, "I'm gonna head to sleep now."

I changed into my pyjamas and chilled in my room for a while. I scrolled on tiktok and texted to my sisters. After an hour or so, I decided that I should actaully get to sleep so I layed down and shut my eyes. However, that lingering thought came back again. I could never sleep peacefully. The thought of Giyuu invaded my mind. It had been for a few days. I don't know why but it was annoying. I decided to talk to Mitsuri about it.

I got out of my bed and headed to Mitsuri's room. Her room was pink and full of posters. She had heart shaped fairy lights hanging on the wall. She had decorated her room nicely. Mitsuri layed down in her bed, fast asleep. I stood there for a few minutes wondering if it was worth waking her up. I mean, I wouldn't wanna ruin her sleep.
