Another day had arrived for Sparkyville Middle School, and Mary Stewart, Heather Wold's best friend, had just arrived, and saw a notice on the noticeboard.

"This looks interesting." said Mary Stewart.

Mary Stewart read it and.....

"Wow! We get to go to a farm!" Mary Stewart cried.

As she said this, Heather Wold noticed her blonde friend.

"Hey, Mary!" Heather called.

"Hey, Heather." Mary Stewart said.

"What's this about a farm?" Heather asked.

"This notice here says that some of us get to go to the farm." Mary Stewart said excitedly.

"Doesn't that sound exciting?" Heather asked. "I have to tell the others about this."

And both girls were on their way to their homerooms.

Heather Wold told her homeroom all about what Mary Stewart had said.

"We might be going to a farm soon." said Heather.

"A farm?! Wow!" cried Linus.

"There's sure to be some cute sheep and pigs." said Frieda.

"Snoopy was born on a farm." said Charlie Brown. "Daisy Hill Puppy Farm."

Charlie Brown looked down sadly.

"What's wrong, Charlie Brown?" asked Heather.

"Snoopy's farm is no longer there." sighed Charlie Brown. "It's now a parking lot."

"It may no longer be there physically." said Heather. "But it's still there in spirit."

"At least we'll get to see the pigs, which have naturally curly tails, sheep with naturally curly wool, all of which remind me of my naturally curly hair."

"I hope there are real lambs there." said Marcie. "No lambcakes."

"Would you get over Floyd calling you that, Marcie?" Peppermint Patty sighed. "Floyd doesn't feel that way about you anymore!"

"Oh yeah." said Marcie. "He's got that Polly girl now."

"I hope to see some pigs." said Pig-Pen. "I hope that's the reason I'm called Pig-Pen."

Mary Stewart's homeroom consisted of Lindsey, Violette Honfleur, Pierre, Mary Jo, Lila, Roy, Floyd, Polly, Ian, Poochie, Peggy Jean, Margaux Jean, Thibault, Royanne Hobbs, Dolores, Maynard, Heather Johnson, Heather CH, Sebastian, Lisa, Dalia and the new student, the ever so snooty Joe Richkid.

"As you may or may not know," said Mary Stewart. "A noticeboard shows that some of us will be going to a farm soon."

Everyone cheered at this.

"Don't get excited just yet." said Mary Stewart. "We don't know how many of us will be going. Someone is sure to let us know."

"I hope to meet real lambs there." said Floyd. "Hope they're different to my lambcake."

Polly overheard Floyd, and blushed.

"Hence," continued Mary Stewart. "I'm going to find out who's holding this field trip we're going on."

The other students talked to each other. They all looked excited to be going to the farm.

"I wonder how many animals are there." smiled Violette Honfleur.

"I wonder monself." Pierre said to himself.

"I used to live on a farm once." said Mary Jo. "But then my father earned enough money for us to move here."
