As you may all know, Lucy van Pelt has had probably the worst reputation when it comes to her behaviour. Most of the time, she was calm at best, crabby and deceitful at her worst. She'd often pull the football away from Charlie Brown, but that was due to Charlie Brown telling her that little girls didn't belong on the football field, she'd often give "psychiatry", most of which was useless anyway.

Now, thanks to a visit to a real psychiatrist, Lucy is a changed person. She still retained her crabbiness, but would only use it whenever reasonable. She no longer pulled the football away from Charlie Brown, well, at least not out of malice. She no longer belittled Linus, and now, due to Mary getting her Schroeder, and having a decent boy in Sebastian, Lucy no longer went after Schroeder.

One day, after school, Lucy was writing on some pieces of paper.

"Let's see..... one for Schroeder..... done. One for Franklin....." Lucy was writing.

"What are you doing, Lucy?" asked Rerun.

"I'm writing only the finest invitations." said Lucy. "I hope everyone can come to my birthday party."

"i don't know about everyone, Lucy." said Rerun. "What if they reject your invitations?"

"Don't be such a blockhead, Rerun! Everyone will come! Just you wait and see." said Lucy.

And Rerun left Lucy's room, leaving her to continue writing her invitations.

Rerun went into the living room where Linus sat watching TV.

"Linus. Do you think everyone will come to our sister's birthday party?" asked Rerun.

"I don't know." said Linus. "Especially given Lucy's bad reputation when she was younger."

"That's what I'm thinking." said Rerun. "Lucy might be getting her crabbiness back."

"I heard that!" shouted Lucy.

The next day, Lucy was at the bus stop with her brothers, Sally, Harold Angel, Janice, Charlie Brown, Heather, Lindsey and Britney. Lucy had a pile of invitations in her hand.

"What are those you got there, Lucy?" asked Charlie Brown.

"Oh, just something you'll all receive later." said Lucy.

"Ooh! Something we'll receive later!" said Sally.

"Except you two." said Lucy, turning to Sally and Harold Angel. "Here you go."

Lucy handed out two invitations, one for Sally, and one for Harold Angel.

"Wow! Thanks, Lucy!" said Sally.

"Be there, or be square." said Lucy.

"Be square?" quizzed Charlie Brown. "But I'm already round. I'm a round-headed teen."

"It's my way of allowing everyone to come, Charlie Brown." said Lucy.

As she said this, the school bus arrived.

"Oh. That's our bus. Come on, everyone." said Lucy.

And she, along with her brother Linus, Heather, Janice, Lindsey and Charlie Brown hopped on board.

Linus sat in the seat behind his sister.

"Do you think everyone will come to your party, Lucy?" asked Linus.

"Oh, no doubt!" said Lucy. "But then again..."

"Then what?" Linus asked.

"I even have my doubts about it." said Lucy. "It's just....."

"It's just what, Lucy?" asked Linus.

"Oh, it's nothing." said Lucy. "I'll hand out the invitations, then I might explain later."
