Note: So I took a couple of ideas suggested in the comments of my last chapter and sort of combined them together to make this one. It was sort of difficult to write, honestly. And I've been feeling lazy too, so there's that. Probably not my best writing, I apologize for that. But I hope you all enjoy it anyway.

"Chloe, we need to talk. Now!" David called out as he stormed his way up the stairs. Chloe had her hands on my lips and hardly had a moment to pull away before the door opened. We'd been busy making out, but now she turned to look at David, who got a confused look on his face for a moment before it returned to anger. "What the hell are you two doing?" His voice echoed loudly through the room, expressing the same amount of anger that his face did.
"Shit." Chloe lowered her hands from my hips slowly. "You can't just barge into my room, man." Now she sounded angry, too.
Walking closer to us, David shook his head. Glaring at Chloe, and then at me. She had moved protectively in front of me before getting up from the bed. Whatever he'd wanted to talk to Chloe about seemed irrelevant now, I knew he could tell that something was up between us. And he clearly wasn't happy.
"Tell me what's going on, right now."
Chloe rolled her eyes. "As if it's any of your business! But Max is my girlfriend, if you must know."
"Girlfriend? No, that's not going to happen. Not in my house."
What the fuck kind of shit was that? David couldn't control what Chloe did. I could tell she was just about ready to explode with anger. Chloe had never had a good reason to like her step-father. In this moment, I really couldn't blame her. He was being such an asshole.
"Okay, dude, do I look like I give a fuck what you think about my relationship? No. You aren't my fucking father! You never will be. And if he was fucking here, I know he'd approve of Max. He'd approve of just about anything if it made me happy. So, fuck off. And another thing, this isn't technically your house! I don't care if you do live here." Chloe managed to keep her voice relatively calm as she said that, only raising her voice in a few spots.
I walked over to her slowly and wrapped my arms around her, earning a brief smile from her. "Why do you always have to defy me, Chloe? Every time," David growled.
"I don't know, maybe because you're a total asshole?!"
Joyce walked up the stairs as she heard the sound of Chloe yelling. "What in the world is going on here?"
"Did you know about this, Joyce?" David motioned to over to where I was standing with Chloe, still holding onto her. "About them.. Dating?"
"Yes, I knew about it. And I approve." Joyce crossed her arms over her chest at the look that her husband gave her. She narrowed her eyes slightly and glanced over at her daughter. "Just leave them alone, David. Max is a nice girl, and they're good for each other."
Chloe may not have always gotten along with her mother. In fact, she rarely ever did, but it felt good to hear Joyce defending her. Especially to her ass of a husband. But David just looked seriously pissed. At which point, Chloe couldn't help feeling sort of happy. Oh how she loved to see him get angry. As much as he claimed to care about her, he always seemed somehow intent on making Chloe fucking miserable. Did he really just not like Max that much? Or was it only because Chloe was dating a girl?
I looked over at Chloe as she glanced at me and kissed me. Then David moved forward to grab her arm. "David!" Joyce snapped at him, angry. "Let her go and get out of my house." What the.. Was she really kicking the step-ass out? Chloe could hardly believe her ears. David looked at her in disbelief for a moment before turning to exit the room.
