Yahya has officially moved back into the house which seems pretty soon considering that we were broken up but I don't want us to be apart. I have expressed my desires to him about buying a new home so we are going to begin the house hunting journey together which should show him serious I am about us being a long term couple.
"We are in a good position right now." I tell Yahya as we're getting ready to head out for a date. "I see big things happening for us."
"Then we have a couple of things to talk about." He bites down on his bottom lip. "Do you want to tell me about the whole situation with Milan's father?"
I give him an annoyed look, "I already told you about it."
"You told me everything regarding the kiss but you never told me about their relationship." Yahya goes to touch me but I move away from him since this is a sore subject. "I do care about her."
"Milan is out of control." I tell him straight as I set my purse down on the table. "Nate will not respect the boundaries that I have set in place and it infuriates me to see them talking behind my back."
"Why do you have an issue with them?"
"Seriously." I give Yahya a look and he raises his hands in surrender. "That man signed away his parental rights before my daughter was born and not once did he ever reach out to us. The only reason why they are in contact now is because Milan wanted to meet the man who helped create her, it's not because he suddenly wanted to meet her."
Nobody will ever truly understand what I went through raising my daughter as a single mother. Signing away your parental rights is a really big deal as it removed Nathanial from any parental responsibility so I was the only guardian for Milan and the only one on the birth certificate.
Not once has Nathanial tried to reach out to me about Milan in the sixteen years of her life and now he wants to be her dad.
"I don't want to talk about this right now." I tell my man who gives my hand a squeeze. "The topic itself will make me cry and I'm not trying to be upset on our date. Was there anything else that you wanted to discuss or can we leave?"
"Do you want more children?"
