In honor of keeping busy, I decided to host a day party for ByDaphne which is my clothing brand that I recently revamped. This is the year that I'm going to go all in with my brand and invest even more than I have done because I want to see my campaign shoots on billboards all around the world.
Marica approaches me with two cocktails in hand and I thank her with a smile as she hands me one.
"How's it going?" I ask since he has been socialising with the guests while I've been running around trying to make sure that everything is running smoothly. I'm working with some new businesses so I need to make sure that the catering is going according to plan, the decorators are doing touch ups where needed and that the bar remain fully stocked.
"Firstly, you need to leave it to me to make sure that everything is going according to plan while you socialise with your guests." My older sister gives me a look. "Secondly, a lot of the pieces have been selling and it's looking really good."
"Yay, I'm happy to hear that." I clap my hands together before taking a sip of the cocktail. "Do people look happy to be here?"
"And this is why you need to start hosting more." Marcia shakes her head. "Your lack of confidence is somewhat endearing but believe me when I say that everyone is having a great time so smile and get out there."
My event is being hosted at a stunning country club by the beach so we had a nice location to work with. I came up with the idea of displaying my latest collections while also hiring models to walk around in our sample sizes.
"I want to start off by thanking you all for respecting the all white and a dash of pastel dress code, you all look stunning." I cup my left cheek while looking at the hundred guests invited to my party. "ByDaphne has been my baby ever since I birthed her some years ago and I honestly did not know what to expect from launching my own brand. I had been in the industry for a while so I had wrote articles about clothing brands and worked with them on shoots both as a model and an assistant but starting your own brand is completely different."
