Everything is going to plan with my business and I could not be happier to expand. I met with a contractor for the sea view building that I purchased and we went through everything that I wanted done to the property.
The quote that I received was enough to make me want to cry but I did say that I wanted to invest more into the business, even if it mean shelling out my personal funds.
"This is cute." Milan says as she snaps a photo of all three of us on her polaroid. I avoid standing besides my former partner who is all up for cosying up to me and I inwardly roll my eyes as he lightly traces my back.
Nate smiles once the image is revealed, "Send me a copy of that."
"Will do."
"That's our first family photo." He softly says while holding the polaroid in his hand and I feel nothing because he chose to go down this route. My eyes narrow slightly as Milan moves to comfort him as this was something that he had no hand in, "I can't believe that I miss it all."
"You're here now." She tells him with a sad smile. "That's all that matters."
"I know but I missed out on everything and having this image in my hand is like looking at what could have been." Nate looks up at me and I have to look away because this is pretty emotional for us all. "I'm sorry for leaving you, Daphe."
