I put a down payment on the sea view property for my clothing brand which was news that I was excited to share with my lover but his reaction was not what I expected. Coming from a person who had to work hard for everything that I had, this is a big victory in my eyes and I wish that he understood the sentiment behind it.
Yahya was annoyed that I found another thing to keep me busy as he wants to move forward with our relationship. I have made it very clear that I am never going to be a housewife but he wants me to slow down my life so we can prepare for marriage and children.
I have expressed many times that I am not going to have children this year or the next but it does not seem to be clicking with him.
"You need to understand that I am not going to keep having this conversation with you." I tell him as we stand in my kitchen. "I have set my boundaries yet you keep acting as if your words mean more than mine do. I never planned to have children again which is something that I have always been open about but I was willing to start a family with you when the time is right."
"There will never be a right time with you when you are constantly looking for things to do." He snaps. "Now you've purchased a new building and knowing you, you're going to completely renovate the place so I'm never going to see you."
A lot of our relationship has been long distance so this has been the hardest part of being together full time.

I cross my arms, "Then that's your business."
